My shoes of choice over the years has been Puma, for me I find that they have a consistent sizing, US12/UK11 has always fitted, longevity also good - but that may be down to my lack of actually playing!

But that's to suit me, someone else with wider/narrower feet etc might consider them to be crap!

Yeah exactly it’s the midsole that’s falls apart

Nadg: the modern versions don’t seem to be very durable in my experience. Very comfortable though

i had the spiked version. one Contour model lasted more than 5 years, I only threw them out because I bought a new pair overseas and just ditched them rather than carry. woudl have been the 2017 or 2018 model that fell apart.

I agree. I employ the same strategy whenever I grab my Eccos from Gbox

A mate runs a pro shop in the south. He had the “Old Man” white and blue new balance going cheap a few weeks ago. I was tempted to try , but with size 14, I find a lot don’t fit well and didn’t want to get them posted and find they weren’t good.

As I mentioned in my post TC I don't ever really get to test their durability due to lack of use!

If it is wet, I will put golf shoes on.
Generally just play in my sneakers. My 40mph swing doesn't warrant needing lots of grip.
Once you go yellow, you will never go back

Its taken me 40 years to realise it, but if anyone need spikes on shoes for the golf swing they are doing itwrong. Essentially we need grippy shoes because of where we walk while playing.

The past few years I’ve played many rounds in runners and have found no issues.

I have Ecco, Footjoy and Asics.
Prefer to play in my Teva Arrowood trail shoes over these any day.

Great just got to dig in a bit on fairway bunker shots.
Excellent for reading the greens as you can feel the slope and firmness.

The Golf Society have a good range of clearance golf shoes at the moment, check it out

I just got a set of NB Minimus Tours for $99 delivered. I really want to try the new fresh foam models but they are full price at the moment.
