Any feedback on the Ecco Street Retro shoes?
My Truelinks are splitting and tbh, they aren't the most comfy shoe I've worn

Which Truelinks do you have?
I find the Truelinks shoes very flat in the sole. Will suit some, but not me.

Oh they look old 😁 how long have they lasted?
They're only a year or 2 old and considering how often I play, should have lasted longer in my opinion.
Golf box have $20 off sale today and I like the street shoe style, and have only heard great things about Ecco

I have got the current model "Originals" and i think they are brilliant. Only concern i have is I dont think the spikes will last 2 years playing once a week.
Not sure if thats underpar or not, i normally rotate 3 or 4 shoes at a time but since i got these I havent worn anything else.
I jumped over a large puddle in my size 12 Truelinks once, and the flat sole acted like a water ski and I aquaplaned and finished up on my arse. Haven’t worn them since.
Hi Guys,
Currently wearing FJ Sport golf shoes with spikes, however getting to the stage of upgrading.
I am US13 and narrow fit.
Any advice on what may be best?
PG
Hey PG,
New Balance are making some exceptional golf shoes. I have recently purchased two pairs and they are very stable and comfortable. With the fresh foam model I no longer need to tape up my heels as they do not blister at all. The Minimus tour shoes are more stable but a firmer more responsive feel through the ground. I personally rate these shoes better than most of the FJ models (excluding the tour model).
If coin is no option go Ecco. Asics are a tight fit, good shoes but im not sure how well suited they are to Australian feet.
You just missed out on a NB online sale but im sure it will come round again.
Asics suit me fine and the only shoe recommended by my physio
Once you go yellow, you will never go back
I've sworn by Asics runners forever. I got a pair of golf shoes and they were the worst pair of shoes, comfort wise, that I'd ever owned.
Thankfully, Drummond took them back under a "comfort guarantee"
Chappy, The Ecco street are nice, but not as comfy as the Bioms, in my opinion, in case you haven't pulled the trigger. Check the Golfbox clearance section, from time to time there are very good deals to be had on the older models.
Squizzy's have the old model New Balance Shoes for $69 for those that like a wide and soft fit;

Plus some spikeless Adidas (only a couple of sizes) at the same price;

And some $49 Callaways also in limited sizes;

Good price Daves, quite like the New Balance, unfortunately it was $20 postage to NSW
10 but not need as only wear when it is raining

Bought the Asics Gel Course Duo BOA Golf Shoes from Golfbox as I really liked my asics tennis shoes.
Comfiest shoes I've had, light weight and great grip.
I must be in the minority but I really like my ASICS Boa golf shoes. Much more comfortable than the FJs I had before.
Sorry NM, size 10.
ASICS golf shoes are quality just like everything they do. I just find the fit a bit too narrow
