Best golf shoes on market?

I need some new shoes, having cycled 5 pairs of adidas tour 360 for the last 7 years.....

What are the best options these days?

Must have traditional cleats, not after a fully moulded sole, comfort and waterproof are important

Was looking at the Ecco biom G3.

Dave, I was a Footjoy and Nike fan for years but recently bought 3 pairs of Ecco, and now I’m a convert.....

I had some of the Puma Ignite Boa's and while they were fairly comfy for the most part, they did wear incredibly quickly to the point where I don't bother with them anymore. Not even 6 months old, and averaged a round a week maybe. I'm keen to try the new Nike Air Max shoes and also some Asics as they are generally considered one of the best shoes in the shoe business.

Puma Ignites are perfect for a casual round in good conditions. I would never wear them this time of year though.

In the wet it is either Ecco or Asics for me. I have a fair of FJ Tour Classics that are great for heavy wet conditions, I just find them a lot heavier on the feet compared to Ecco.

Footjoy for me. Super comfy, but as said above I think they are heavier on the feet than some others.

I have a pair. Very comfortable.
But they are 100% not waterproof.
I play early mornings and after walking a few holes the dew on the ground / rough is enough to give you wet socks.

Assuming i will be buying multiple pairs down the track, i dont think this will be that big of problem.

I wore a pair of Nike Air Max today (not a golf shoe) and they were great. Comfy, didn't slip at all, played well. I think i might invest in some of the Nike Air Max golf shoes now, can't imagine them being any worse than what I wore today.

I have a pair of Nike air max,I wear them for basketball.Not a golf shoe,comfy though.I really like the Adidas golf shoes,just bought the Adidas bounce shoe on sale at Golf Warehouse this week for the wetter weather

Jarro, plenty like them, I bought a pair, horrible durability, lasted about 20 rounds, wore through the toe...……@$99 probably worth a low expectation try

Extremely happy with the New Balance Xtra Wide.
So happy to not have feet like they are on fire after a round.

You get what you pay for, I want water proof and excellent build qualities. Ecco and higher end Footjoy for me.

I have footjoy pro sl boa, some of the sole fell off last week and the boa just about needs multigrips to tighten around my foot. 18 months old but only worn for 12. Also have nike waverly luna, best shoes ever so comfy even have a brand new pair in stock for later. Nike shoes seem to be very good.

Footjoy for me havent has many brands , but with Ferrins you get what you pay for and you use your feet more than anything else in a round ( apart from those cheats in seats lol ) Always been the same with work shoes/ boots they have to be comfortable and durable

I took 2 brand new pairs of New Balance Freshfoam Spikeless to vic champs. Surprisingly the 2e widths were fine for my normally 4e feet.

Walked a round everyday, and had no issues with break in, comfort, or water-proof-ness.

Very satisfied with this purchase, more than happy to rank NB as the best shoes for me.

I have half a dozen pair of NB shoes, a mix of Spiked and Spikeless and I would endorse they are up there with the best of the rest.

I like FJs generally, I have several pairs and have used them for years. And I would rate the NBs as at least equal to the similar FJ models. The FJ M Projects are IMO the most comfortable shoe I have worn (and still wear), the NB aren't far behind. They have an added "super soft cushioned" feel when you walk in them that I have not really felt to the same extent in any other brands. The only negative I have so far, and it is quite minor, is that the heal padding has the tendency to fold in when you are putting them on, but that is relatively easy to avoid/fix if you are aware of it . The best bit is that you can still buy them from Squizzys for $75 a pair. Lots of sizes still available the last time I looked, and they have wide fitting as as well.

The squizzys ones are the older models (which I have and rate), but these new fresh foam models are a class above.
