    Default Clubs lengthened

I picked up some nice Callaway clubs off ebay. Unfortunately they aren't the length that was advertised. Whats a rough cost of lengthening the irons or can anyone recommend somewhere in Melbourne that do this work that I should talk to?

I actually had my 3 iron lengthened at Drummond Golf in Nunnawading. It was pretty cheap from what I remember, it's going well too.

Yeah I was thinking Drummond might be okay. For me it's the higher lofted clubs which feel too short eg: 9 iron and wedges. Not sure if they can re-use the grips as they are in good condition. I'd like to get my putter extended as well. Cheers BigBad

That's all good. My grip was new and was sacrificed, but usually they can salvage the grips which will save you some money as well.

Lengthening is a relatively straightforward process. Grips are generally reusable too.

Do note lengthening will increase swing weight and make the clubs feel more "head heavy". Depending how much you lengthen them by this may become a secondary issue you need to address this (either by counter weighting or removing weight or material from the heads) pending where they started on the SW scale and your sensitivity

@withnail I can help out with this if you need. I'm in southern suburbs of Melbourne.

Have done a little club work here and there, so I'm happy to have a crack.

    Forget Drummond.
Take Chappy ^ up on the offer he'll do a much better job of it than a retail shop who's core business is off the self sales not club building.

I thought I replied but my post isn't there. Thanks for the advice and for Chappy for offering your services. I will give the clubs a hit first to see how they feel and go from there. I currently don't have a sand wedge so will probably want that lengthened if I buy a standard length one. Thanks guys
