    Default Golf Ball Display Rack/Case

Over the years I have collected a heap of logo golf balls from various golf courses, usually top courses, and a few novelty logo balls as well. In hindsight, it seems like a waste of time and money, but it's what I did. They have been sitting in a draw hidden away for a long time, and during a cleanup, I thought I should pull them out and try to display them in the garage somewhere.

I have had a look around the interwebs, and the cost of a display case or rack is a bit too much, when I don't really need it. However, I came across the following and thought that it was pretty cool, and I could work with that idea on the side or front of my golf clubs cabinet.

Do any of you guys have a display case for your collected golf balls? Got any pics? Any other innovative ideas for displaying them? I thought that even some clear tubing could do the job.

It's not like I have hundreds. I have just grabbed a souvenir from some of the best courses in the country when I have played them.

I bought one off Gumtree not too long ago. I haven't put it up yet, but will take a photo tomorrow and post it.

Just put them old egg cartons.

Better still, if restaurants and hotels get eggs delivered on large flat trays, then get hold of a couple of those.

Thanks for the pic. You wouldn't want to bump it with the golf balls sitting on the tees. I'm worried about bumps, if I was to go with something like I had in the first post.

That would take up a tiny bit of the top row.

Andy, it will be going up high away from any bumping possibilities.

    $10 Gumtree special.

Andy I have quite a few and was looking to build something quite elaborate, but the simple design with the tees, looks the business.

Think I'll do that for my collection.

And for those who don't like..bite me

Here's the full instructions on how it was built.

Building a jig may be a bit overkill, but this guy was putting it directly on an existing bookshelf.

I just kept all mine in an old galvanised garbage bin. What got me started was when I discovered a Burswood Casino logo ball on South Molle Island when I started my apprenticeship. They used to sell the guests ‘seconds’ from the course pro shop/bar. Managed quiet a few from my time on the rock

My logo golf balls are mostly from courses that are or were in the top 100 rated course. I think there is about 50.

I was going to ask if the South Molle Island course is still going, but I just looked it up and the resort was stuffed this time last year thanks to a cyclone a couple of years ago, and hasn't been repaired (course location in the background of the photo).

Geez! I've stayed there and played that course a few times. Good fun. Well it was.

You guys are over thinking it surely the egg carton would suffice. You could bring them out when you have visitors.

    Default Golf Ball Display Rack/Case

I started my "rack" on the weekend. I'm not aiming for perfection with it, but something that is close enough and does the job.
