Maybe need to think about booking at the pub.
I seem to remember it was quite busy last time.

Your more than welcome to join us for lunch Benje.
Just updated OP with the 6 of us confirmed.
Added that it's $25 for 18 holes and put the time in the title after we never had any exact confirmed time listed for the Mount Pleasant round
Hope it's a bit better than what's bucketing down on the roof at work atm.
I bought a new Titty Umbrella today and would really rather it doesn't get used.

Calling Flavzz, haven't herd from you yet buddy.

Nadg’s bats are all finished and ready for this weekend.
Just need to blow the Grips on my Cobra Amp Cell Pros and they are ready also.
Hopefully the weather plays nice for Sunday.

As of today my car is off the road until next week (awaiting a part for the radiator or thereabouts)

Is anyone driving up the freeway to get to Mannum and able to drop into Crafers to give me a lift?

If Benje comes for lunch I'll be able to get a ride home with him

I can drop by and collect you From Crafars Google Maps is saying 1 hour to Mannum GC, so between 7- 7.15ish!?

As per above, I'm not intending staying for lunch - Waza might be an option home if Benje is not there!?

Transport and times noted. I expect to be at Mannum - as long as superior powers don't interfere.

    pas looking forward to it.

Thanks for the hit guys, special shout out to Benje who made a quality effort to join us for lunch, admired the distinctive pantone of the blue blazer as well.

Course was good overall and considering its budget and demographic they do a reasonable job in the up-keep. My one criticism though is the greens, despite their lushness and colour most had a number of dead spots probably due to a lack of regular coring and/or aeration. I don't recall this being an issue during our visit last year but it was a consistent problem this time round. The one bunker I played out of was a highlight, had the same sand as RA / Kooyonga and was very well maintained.

For a hit and giggle, once a year with 10 clubs on a course that offers undulating holes with a number of short drivable Par 4's and reachable Par 5's; combined with a superb pub lunch by the river you cannot do much better for a cold Sunday. Quite happy to set this one in stone as a yearly event, perhaps next year with a quirky game and set challenges...driver off the deck being the first one!

Good morning, good company, weather behaved itself, nice little course in good condition 

Personally, driving was okay, putting not bad, irons passable, (first hit with the new to me Mizuno’s), wedge play CRAP! About sums it up.

Thanks for the hit chaps. Quickest 6 ball I've ever played in.

Special thank ewes to my chauffeurs.

It is a rare game of golf where a 6-ball can play quickly and not catch the 5 ball in front.

    The Collective

I'm not surprised the bunker was similar - Kooyonga and Royal Adelaide use Tailem Bend sand (I think).
I suspect if Mannum uses local sand, it would be similar to the Tailem Bend variety.

In a fortnight, you are playing at the other typical sand found on Adelaide courses - Mt Compass sand (after the 'good bits' have been washed out to make glass).

Looks like golf was fun. And, there is something about playing golfon the other side of the ranges in winter - more blue sky, warmer and (generally) less rain. Might be a tad cooler in a fortnight guys.

    Benje
