    Default WDYSTM April 2019

After 2.5m of rain this year so far we’re all really REALLY over the slop.

However went out today and played well.

    77/69 (39pts)

Hit 9 greens, 10 fairways, no birdies, no 3 putts.

Will likely be 5 flags in the last 6 games with the Mareeba Open next weekend.

And... had a full set of irons in the bag for the first time in ages, only used the 8i once- on the 13th - and flew it 10m over the pin. Didn’t use the 4,6 or Pw at all.

Like Bushy said, I'm over it. The conditions really got to me today. A big part of that was me hitting it like a numpty, as it's nearly impossible to save par from a bad position in those conditions.

87/74 for me today in the monthly medal. Unlike you guys up north we have had enough rain to make things green again and stock the dam, but not enough to have constant sloppy conditions

3 rounds at Maryborough this week.

Wed had 34pts, Friday 35pts, Saturday nett +1 in monthly medal.

Hitting it pretty good, but making a ton of shots with my chipping. Main issue is consistency, just 1 or 2 doubles or worse per round dragging the scores up.

Happy to see the cap dropping, went from 10.6 to 10.2, and should see another little drop with a flag today.

75/67 for me today. First full round in 4.5 years. 66 net won A grade, so I’m not far off.

7 Fairways, 5 greens and 30 putts. 3 birdies and a few stupid doubles in there.

First 18 holes of golf today since 1st October last year and 30 points at Indro. Used some chopper bats which helped had a birdie, 9 pars 6 bogies and two doubles and was happy to survive. Ran out of gas on back nine but I could get back to playing with a bag overhaul I

Snuck out for 18 Saturday morning, struck it OK.

Birdied the first (hello stoopid!), draining a lovely little 12 footer.

Missed the green on 2, chipped up to to 14 inches, didn't even hit the hole.

Birdied 3 and scrambled pars all the way up to the 8th, so still sitting at 1 red.

Attacked the flag on 9, doofused it up, jagged an 8 footer for bogey to turn square.

Missed a 3 footer on 10, and another on 13, and got through to 16 2 over.

Decided I hadn't sufficiently Nedded the round, so yipped a couple of 2 footers coming home on 17 and 18 for 76 off the bat.

    2 birdies
    10 pars
    6 bogeys
    4 yips
    10/14 fairways

Another fine display of bipolar golf ...
50 on the back nine (which included a 2*).
    37 on the front nine.

    * And pissed off being within a metre on a 160m par 3, only to find the wrong grade's NTP card had been left on the hole.

was placed on Pennants reserve on Sunday and was told I can skip the day if I wanted to... So went to play Maylands Peninsula Public Golf with a few mates I havent played with for awhile....
Actually I havent been down to the course for over 20 years.

Condition for a public course is much better than I remember... nice fairway grass and the greens were super lush and soft.... pretty easy course.... but was rather enjoyable day as we started early and wasnt held up too much...

off a 71 course, played 37/45 with a couple of doubles in there due to stupid 3 putts :P Was another day of good drive, good irons, but just the damn putting letting me down....

    Stableford at Maryborough today.

Started slow with a poor flop into a green side bunker to wipe 10. Played pretty well for the rest of the back 9, including a birdy on 13 to turn with 20pts.

Played very well on the front 9, 7 pars and 2 bogies for another 20pts.

    20/20 40
    1 bird
    10 pars
    6 bog
    1 double
    30 putts

He's lucky I don't work at the ATO or I would be looking at auditing his tax return for sure.

It’s opposite when doing that? 22+22 =40 (for tax purposes)

Like telling the Mrs how much that new set of irons was.

I was thinking of the tax deductions side of the equation. In that instance 20 + 20 = 6,274.
