    Default You're never too old

Just thought I would share this , beaconhills held clubs champs recently and was won by 20 yr old scratch marker . They then take top 8 of each grade and play match play championship. 70 yr old 3 marker made the 8 also won the seniors title for 5 th time along the way . They drew each other in the first round , 70 yr old won one up on Saturday. Don’t know any scores but younger guy won his pennant match on Sunday playing no 1 so I assume he wasn’t playing badly .
I would put some money on him going on and winning the thing now ..
On Tuesday I went up to the course for a chip n putt and here he is giving one of his next opponents in the match play some chipping tips .
The tale of this story is it’s never to late , don’t give up

No agenda , just saying you can still play really good golf even tho you are 70+ , he started playing late , was in his forties. He is probably the best putter I have seen

It’s too late if you have no ability to start with.

This reminds me of the time I lost to an 83-year-old man in the final of a handicap matchplay shield event that had been named in his honour 30 years prior.

That was really nice of you to let him win his own trophy

There's a 76 year old guy playing off 3 at our club. He shoots lower than his age 10-20 times a year.
