Default 2020 VIC Champs - Come to ME, Mountain - SW VIC

From the people who brought you other great drunken 4AM ideas such as...

    Ummmm.....

    Errrr.......

    Potato Parcel....?

    Vacuum Shoes....?

    Licki Brush....?

Comes the 2020 VIC Champs edition in the wonderful, the magnetic, the what-the-****-is-that?!?! home of LeftyHoges, South West Victoria!!!

Dates still to be locked in, but looking very much at around the same time in Feb.

OZgolf VIC Champs 2020 Course Itinerary (Costs are rough at this stage)

    Thursday
Heywood Golf Club - The course where I first learnt to throw a club. Ahhhh, memories....
    3PM tee-off
    $20.00 Green Fee + $10.00 Prize Fee

    Friday
    Port Fairy Golf Links
    - My highest individual honour in golf, 2009 Club Champion
    Probable 12.30PM tee-off
    $50.00 Green Fee + $10.00 Prize Fee
    No Carts (pull buggies available)

    Saturday
    Portland Golf Club
    - The course where I currently throw my clubs. I'm better at it now too.
    Probable 12PM tee-off
    $20.00 Green Fee + $10.00 Prize Fee + $10 Comp fee

    Sunday
    Warrnambool Golf Club
    - Home of current world no. 17 Marc Leishman, who I beat once in a schoolboys tournament, and have been riding to death ever since.
    Probable 9AM tee-off
    $45 Green Fee + $10.00 Prize Fee

    Monday
    Cobden Golf Club
    - Not really meaningful, I just like this place, and it's on the way back to Melbourne.
    Maybe 9AM start?
    $20 Green Fee + $10.00 Prize Fee

    Accommodation:

    Portland Bay Lodge
    $40 per person per night

Chosen because we can be as loud as humanly ****ing possible. We MAY possibly look at moving to some accomm in Warrnambool or Port Fairy for the Sunday night if only small numbers, as this will make Monday golf easier. TBC

Come one, come all to the weirdest VIC Champs yet!

For what it's worth, I don't live too far from the airport and could possibly help out with giving a couple of people a lift down the coast and back. I haven't fully committed to all the dates yet but if needed we can work something out closer to the event.

At this stage just over $400 for Thursday morning to Monday arvo (5 days).

Im also considering a 12 seat bus for 8 people and bags.

Alpha came back with 351. They also have a 12 seater but organising 4 people is hard enough.

We don't want the sort of people who only golf because of Tigermania.

Poostar return for free sale, but gets in at 10:45 which is too late to make Heywood. Bugger.

Drive to Horsham instead and play your own round.

Just found return flights for 6 people to Japan for ~$2.5k.

    Cheaper than Cairns to Brisbane.

Start of the rainy season but nothing an umbrella cant fix. First half of June last year was dry except for one rainy day and the odd light shower.
