    Default EOI - 2020 South-West Victoria Champs

In an effort to get the past weekend out of my head as quickly as possible (and in a plan that was conceived in the wee, wee, weeeeeeeee hours of Saturday morning by blokes who were barely capable of planning how to open the next beer bottle), I give you the EOI for the 2020 Victorian Champs in South West Victoria. That's right Mountain, come to mother-****ing Mohammed!!!!

A very rough outline of plans have been made and if you're coming to my home area, you're coming to MY tour of the area. My home track, my current track, in my opinion the best track in the area and where I was once Club Champ, and the home of the current OWGR no. 17, Marc Leishman that I beat once waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay back in the day and have ridden into the ground. And another course. Don't know what yet.

    So roughly we're looking at:
    Thursday - Heywood Golf Club
Friday & UCW - Port Fairy Golf Links
    Saturday - Portland Golf Club
    Sunday - Warrnambool Golf Club
    Monday - ????

Costs will be super cheap, approx $50 at PF, $40 at Warrny, $30 at Portland, **** all at Heywood. Accomm will be cheap too. So biggest expense will be the hire car / minibus to get you boys (and girl(s)) here....

    Travel time as below....
    Melb to Port via Warr.jpg

I need to get a gauge pretty early on so I can see if this is worthwhile running, otherwise I'll need time to arrange Melbourne courses instead.

I could be a chance for this depending on dates.
Late February is better, cannot do it if before 15 Feb.
    Pencil only until then.

And yet we could only get 20 for 2 days at Barnbougle Dunes and the Lost Farm, the best public access courses in Australia?

People couldn't get their passports sorted in time.

Plus I think you're forgetting St Andrews Beach and The Dunes.

I was lucky that I got my leave pass sorted early. Had I left it much later I could have been a no show due to my wife's work commitments.

I've already planted the seed about the 2020 champs - hopefully the dates work out.

Does anyone know why Bushy doesn't want me at the 2020 Champs?

Is it because of my personality? It is, isn't it?

How much longer would the trip from the airport take via the great ocean road?

Fair bit. The interesting stuff is not that far from Warrnambool though.

Port Fairy is 287 kilometers away from Melbourne CBD and will take approximately 3hr 30mins to drive along the inland route or 5 hrs 25 mins via the Great Ocean Road. The step by step directions below should take you there: Travel fromMelbourne city onto the Westgate Freeway.

And that will be without stopping to look at the pretty rocks.

As a side note, I walked over London Bridge in January 1990. Correlation does not eqaul causation.

A friend of mine works in the safety department of VicRoads. They have done some different things there to stop tourists ****ing up too badly.
