Default Points Credit Cards - Qantas/Virgin etc

My misses is banging on about her colleagues getting points to get trips OS etc. Anyone have any experience or use any cards to get points in this way?

Yep. Check out ozbargain or point hacks or Australian frequent flyer. Usually I get cards with the points bonus with no first year annual fee, then cancel the card before the year is up and move onto the next card. Just need to be aware of exemptions to the points bonus, ie spending exemptions or if you've had a card from that bank before, ie previous 12 months usually.

Yeah we change each year and generally pick up 80000 to 100000 points for signing up. Cancel before year 2 charges. Paid for wife & 2 kids to get tickets to US last year

As a bonus, when banks had to stop giving you a Visa or mastercard and an Amex together I had Amex offer me a separate card for no sign on and lots of points. I must have ticked a box when signing up to go in a competition to win 1 million Qantas FF points (didn't remember doing so). Got a call a few months later to say I had won!!!

    Happy days!
