    Default Hi from Canberra

Hi all - new to the forum and still fairly new to the sport.

Currently playing with a set of hand me down clubs, looking to purchase my first 'decent' set. Joined up to do a bit of research and to join in on the general banter. If anyone has any suggestions on where to start looking for a set of left handed clubs (doesn't need to be anything too fancy), I'm all ears.

    Cheers - Luke.

    G’day,

A committee member at Gungahlin Lakes GC should have some left handed clubs for sale.

He used them exclusively when playing away from his home course but he no longer travels.

    Welcome Luke.

A few of the lads play out at Gungalunga lakes. Generally, they are stand up blokes.

    G'day Luke.

Golf is, in part, a game; but only in part. It is also in part a religion, a fever, a vice, a mirage, a frenzy, a fear, an abscess, a joy, a thrill, a pest, a disease, an uplift, a brooding, a melancholy, a dream of yesterday and a hope for tomorrow. - New York Tribune, 1916.

    Hi thanks all.

I've been mainly been playing at Queanbeyan and RMC but have played 1 round at Gungahlin Lakes. Will put my feelers out to see what's out there.

    Cheers.

    Hey Black Mountain

    Welcome to Ozgolf

There are a few active and semi active Canberra members on here. Queanbeyan is looking good ready for the NSW Womens Open next month, RMC is a great little track, and Fairbairn is worth a hit. I'm at Gungahlin Lakes with Monsta. Neither of us is left handed, but the way he plays, maybe he should be.

Cheers - I'm actually down to volunteer at the NSW Womens Open so looking forward to that.

As I mentioned, I've pretty new to it all (been playing for around 12 months) but have managed to get around to most of the local courses. I really enjoyed Murrumbidgee, Federal and Fairbairn but happy playing wherever I can get on! Good to see/hear there is some local members on here.
