Default Uncivil War VII - Royal Hobart Golf Club, Friday 22nd Feb 2019

The battle lines have FINALLY been drawn, and these two titans of the golfing world are warming up for our very own version of "The Battle of the Bastards (with extra Bastards)".

A massive thank you to Courty and wbennett for assisiting with filling the sides, and also to PeteThePilot for recruiting a couple of RH members to fill the void.

Captaining the Confederate side this year will be 3PuttPete, joined by his willing and able VC, thecollective.

And returning fire for the Union will be Peter_rs, assisted or hampered by (depending on your point of view) Ferrins!

Final pairings for this ding-dong all important stoush, are:

    Fri Draw.JPG

Your team captains will establish pants / short colours shortly, and more information about the greatest day in the OZgolf calendar will be posted as further details emerge.

    PLAY BALL!!!

When I played with him for the first time, I said to him, how the hell did you end up naga? He hits the driver 270m with a slight draw and is a decent putter. And he’s got 18 handicap up his sleeve. 😉

You don’t even have to wear pants or shorts mate but if you do, wear black ones.

Haha! No one who has ever met me would call me a serious playya! Not least because I’d be horrified to be associated with someone who butchers the English language in such a manner. I could be good for 23 points again this year. Or 53.
Cinderella story, out of nowhere, former greenskeeper, now about to become a Masters champion..... It looks like a mirac.. It's in the hole! It's in the hole!

If you can find a suitable rube, and some of it goes to charity, be my absolute guest.

Wait until you play it first. It's probably equivalent to tier 2 Adelaide tracks.

Yeah a bit of similarity there. Can't think of anywhere I have played that was as green as RH, since I played it.

Done now, 5 cans of red bull in 17 holes and some terrible golf.I did own one of the winners yesterday so that was the consolation for my pennant loss (against Royal Hobart)

    Ok...finally!

Matt can’t play (but might turn up after as he is captain) so I will fill in for him.

Dieter can play but can’t do Dinner.

Joey will play but has to go to work straight after.

JJ can play and wants the Huon Salmon and the Rocket/fennel salad at the dinner!

    Will that do?

    Looking forward to it.
