Played 9 last night hitting 3 balls a hole, except only 2 on the par 3s, so the equivalent of 25 holes.
7 birdies made, including 3 on the one hole, our number 1 index. 1 of those was holed out from a bunker, but still counts!
Got a little bit of form back, but most importantly figured out how to stop everything going hard right, so I can at least post a half competitive score. Now to just hope the knee and ankle hold up to 7 games in 7 days.
Will be an impressive bounce back sfter getting grossed out by a 12 marker last year.
Didn't Nemo win best gross last year at Vic Champs. You know the Vic Champs that was held in Victoria.
Nah the cripple won that.
Shot a 76 for 40 points on Saturday, front 9 40 and came back with an even par 36 on the back with an eagle and a double.
Played 9 holes on the Sunday hungover as hell and still managed an even par 35 with 2 birds, two bogeys.
Game is feeling pretty good.

Another crappy saturday with 27 points; still trying to figure out my swing as I am back to sweeping the ball with the iron instead of hitting it, so the ball doesnt seem to fly high, go long and have a slight fade to the flight...
Played a social round on Sunday with a mate; slower greens and shorter tee box resulted in a with 40/45 off the stick; back 9 had 1 loss ball and 1 in the water; so could have been better;
Driving was pretty spot on during the weekend; trying the older TP5 resulted in good ball check around the green. Ball seem to travel shorter compare to the Bridgestone Extra Soft though.
The putter is starting to let me down again with plenty of misses around the 2M marks.
16/16 , 3 x 3 putts first 5 holes ( new/ different grip on putter no practice with it ) two birdies and an eagle the rest was crap
Played Kingston Heath yesterday thanks to a friend of mine.
Decided to play with the persimmon 1 and 3 wood and my normal half set.
Started out great parring 6 of the first 7 until a severe miss hit off the 7th tee led to a wipe. (The 19th was in play so the 7th was our 8th hole- didn’t play 10)
Ended up with 18pts.
The back side was a different story, I just couldn’t match it into the wind with the old woods especially on the longer holes and I tried to make up for it by hitting it harder which obviously didn’t work out like I wanted it to. The end result was a disappointing 10points.
However, big point to take away for me- going into the Champs- is that my iron play was really good. Was able to flight plenty of irons into the wind to 10-15ft. Highlight was probably a 7iron I hit from 80odd metres on the 4th to inside 5 ft to save a par.
Looking forward to this week and everything that goes with it.
