    Better?
    Who’s collecting the GST?

The freight forwarder, as they are also a buying service who supply more than 75k to Aus.

In theory i could have self valued it a bugger all, but the insurance on it would be valued the same.

So just GST on the cost of the shipping then?

Re-deliverers are still required to collect the GST on the value of the good that has been imported:

I’m not sure why these overseas companies wouldn’t tell the Australian government to GGF

No, the value if the item, the shipping, and the insurance all had GST applied.

Thats the million dollar question. If you had no Australian presence, there is nothing they could do.

FYI, Dallas golf will ship to Aus off their website and not add gst. Golf Partner on Rakuten do collect gst though.

OWCD, G20 etc agreement to assist with compliance maybe. I’d also like to think there was some sort of notice/advice program to the biggest exporters to Australia but for some reason I’d be surprised if it happened.

Either way it’s interesting. Might require some more research

Just pay the additional 10% - it ultimately goes to the States who will surely spend it wisely.
