    Default Clicgear 3.5+ issues

Does anyone who uses a Clicgear 3.5+ have any issues with the bottom of your golf bag touching the front wheel when you’re using it? I’ve only had mine (bought new) since August 2017 and I use both a staff bag (mostly) and a carry bag on it.For some reason, over time the gap between where the bottom of the bag sits and the top of the front wheel has gotten smaller. When I unfold the buggy it’s about 2-inches or so, but then when I put my bag on it the whole frame seems to sag a little lower to the ground from around where the three wheel legs/struts meet. The whole thing just sits lower to the ground, reducing the travel between the bottom of my bag and the top of the front wheel, which bloody sucks. Had to put a Tupperware container under my bag so it wouldn’t sit on the front wheel. Today I used my carry bag - a lot lighter than my staff bag, and had the same damn problem. When I unfold the Clicgear it sits fine, but as soon as any weight is applied the whole thing just sags and sits flatter to the ground. It’s bumming me out. Golf Clearance Outlet (where I bought it from) only has a 12-month warranty, but it may still be covered under a manufacturer’s warranty, if it’s deemed to be faulty. I’ve certainly handled it with care. Thanks in advance for your help gents, if anyone else has experienced something similar and knows what to do to sort it out.

I’ve never had that issue, however I know there is an adapter that you can use which lifts staff bags up off the bottom. Benno_R uses one.

If it is ‘sagging’ as you say maybe there are some loose bolts or connections somewhere where it pivots.

Something like that maybe depending on model etc. There's definitely a spacer for this.

I've seen it often, and have long suspected that there may be a fundamental design flaw.

Or I'm just paranoid, after seeing version numbers quickly increasing and the extra brackets for very common bag styles.

Yeah i'm definitely experiencing that problem at the moment. Has been going on for the last 6 months or so at least i'd reckon, I'm forever pulling the bag up so it's not sitting on there. Was wondering if it was just a case of tightening up some of the screws and everything, but yeah I haven't gotten around to doing that yet. Frustrating as all hell on the course!

Depends on the bag itself , some have stiffer plastic in the base , so they don’t sag on to the wheel , but it’s shitty if you have to pay for something to fix a bad design

Yep. Particularly given Clicgear is meant to be the bees knees of buggies, like Sun Mountain is for golf bags. It’s bumming me out.

And don't buy the staff bag kit thinking it's going to solve the problem.. It'll make it worse.

I bought a spacer for mine three years ago and haven't had any problems since.

Yes, it is shitty design flaw (possibly the braking mechanism also), but my clickgear has well and truly outlasted my previous buggies.

So I just tightened the nut as shown in the video above and it seems to have solved the problem. Don’t think it’s a design flaw as such, just something that loosens over time. Pretty easy fix in the end.

    Hey dudes,

Just want to say thanks heaps for all of your input into this thread. I did what was shown on the ClicGear video above, and while I was at it I tightened (while trying not to thread) a few of the other bolts/nuts around where my ClicGear was sagging and that seems to have fixed the problem, at least for now. I feel like I need to keep my eye on this shit though. With the staff bag on there’s still not all that much space between it and the front wheel. But at least it’s no longer touching the wheel. Love my ClicGear, but I may opt for something else next time.

Same problem with my son’s ClicGear.
I have already found the video and fixed it.
I also think somewhere there’s a design fault.

The same happened to mine. I used the YouTube fix, it lasted a week or two and then back to the same. Very, very annoying. I won’t be purchasing another.

I get the feeling that the Clicgear was originally intended for the baby stroller market, that could fold easily and take up very little room in the boot.

I have no idea what strollers are available, but I've seen similar on UK technology shows.
