Did they say why it was rescinded?

It all seemed pretty straight forward. He thought he did something wrong, asked for a ruling, got the ruling, took it and moved on.

The rules official interpreted the rule incorrectly.

I trust everybody is super-excited by this new format for the Fedex Cup, so much so that no comments have been posted for 8 days.

It might turn out to be really good, but I'm struggling with the concept of essentially playing a tournament off handicaps. i wonder whether the commentators will be able to resist comparing the off the stick score to the eventual score under par. It will be very strange if say Jason Kokrak shoots the best score of the field, but actually finishes 23rd.

I'm not even going to consider having a bet on this one.

Yeah I once read on golfwrx that if every pro used a Scotty Cameron putter then Scotty Cameron would have the most tour wins.

After recent purchases I now have the same number of Scottys as I have Odysseys. Is that the same thing?

I would imagine the Raby Bay Lefty Emporium carries more backwards Odysseys and Scotties than the respective tour vans!!!

Great to see Rory winning the gross and net titles today. He’s made some serious bank this year.

If you include today’s obscene cash grab, Rory’s caddie has more on course earnings this year than Jordan Spieth.
Cinderella story, out of nowhere, former greenskeeper, now about to become a Masters champion..... It looks like a mirac.. It's in the hole! It's in the hole!

I reckon Rory would give up all the cash for another major, but he had a good year, and in the final event he was the best player and a worthy winner.

Despite my earlier misgivings, the handicap system worked reasonably well. You knew where everybody stood, and the head start turned out to be just the right amount. So I imagine there will be no change for next year.

I still find it a bit hard to get excited by the playoff system, but I don't have a better way to keep the stars involved after the majors are over.

Now we are in the 19/20 Season, is it time for a new thread?

Anyway, Aussie Lukas Michel won the US Mid Amateur last week, qualifying for the US Masters and US Open.

Thats a hell of an achievement.

I was following Cameron Champ this morning through the PGA website, hoping he could bring it home after starting the last round 3 shots up. He got it done after needing a birdie on the last after a late charge by Hadwin.

It is fun to watch someone mash a drive 350 yards without looking like it takes much effort.

Was pretty cool watching him hit driver/8 iron into the 580 yard par 5 18th

Good to see the Aussie kid Jack Trent who attends UNLV made the cut and is now 11 under tied 28th after 3 rounds.

It's entertaining watching the tournament leaders get their choke on down the stretch.

The PGA tour will have all tree roots remove from future venues.
