Apparently, it will be Johnny Miller's last commentary day tomorrow.

I'm not a fan, but he has made a very significant contribution to golf on TV, so they will probably talk more about him than about the golf.

Apart from that, the event itself is pretty good, with Justin Thomas and Rickie Fowler at the top at the moment.

I didn't see all the coverage, so I don't know whether they have mentioned Benno_R's birdie on 17. Maybe they are saving it for Johnny Miller's last overly critical comment.

I’ll miss him, may have even had some dust in my eyes as Roger Maltbie gave his farewell speech.

Yeah very unlucky. But a win is a win. Good on him after the last few years to come back from that 7.

Well....in another instance if he placed it on the green for instance and it rolled into the hole it still counts. I reckon if he’d dropped/placed it in the semi instead of the short grass he’d have been safe. That’s where the second ball was.

Personally, I don't think either should count, after resting for some arbitrary period of time (like 10 seconds or something). Replace and replay.

Discounting his tee shots with irons and hybrids, what was the driving distance and accuracy with his scotty?

You have to take your hat off to Rickie on the way he handled the extra penalty after the drop. And you have to wonder about the course set ups, if you can't trust a ball to stay where it was placed.

There was mention of the amount of rain that wasn’t forecast. There was a pin on 12(??) where they squeegee between groups and that bank is designed to be short. Rickie should have considered it I reckon as he was always going to place after two drops.

BUT... to get up and down and brush it off was great from him given the last few chances he’s had there.

Imagine how Sergio would’ve reacted if that happened to him?!?!. Hats off to Ricky - for weathering that extremely unfortunate luck and then going on to wrap up the tournament.
