Default TPGC - Sunday Jan 20th

Two groups for Sunday 20th January. 7.07am and 7.14am.

DO NOT be late as busy as hell after those times, (social group booked in and the above times were all that were available)

But we were spoilt being at The Vines as it had good drainage and less rainfall anyway. Mt Compass is one of THE wettest places around, the times I have gotten to the top of the hill there for it to be absolutely pissing it down whereas either side of the town at the base of the hill there is no rain at all! (was not happy about it in my motorbike days)

The Vines is perfect for winter golf - no argument from me.
Best venue in winter apart from the sandbelt and perhaps TTG.
(Murray Bridge is fine if you like a drive).

Benje: Loxton is fabulous in the winter; when the open is on they setup the course firm and fast, it is a delight to play on and the only time I recommend playing it

Waikerie was good, as is Loxton.
    Longer drive though.

Barmera is the only Riverland course that has playability issues in the winter. That clay once your off the fairway sticks like sh!t to a blanket. The more you walk in it, the taller you get then it’s like an ice skating rink once back on fairway.
