The water lies would be better at SV than Carbrook, no sharks at SV, not the swimming ones anyway!

12/01/2019, Corinda Public GC, Social 9 Holes.

This was my first round since the Brookwater round at the Qld OZgolf Champs, which was four months ago. Although, I did go to a driving range last week and hit over 30 balls to see how the injury held up. It failed the fitness test, but I need to get out and do something. The nine holes walking today left me aching a bit, but nothing too bad, as long as it isn't making things worse.

As for the golf, I got away with missing greens early, because for some reason I had good touch with the wedge and putter, and got up and down a few times. I was missing the greens because I played only half a set, and kept finding myself at a distance just beyond a club range, and had to find a way to drop the distance with other clubs by nearly two clubs. I wasn't overly successful with this. It wasn't a great ball striking day, but it isn't a punishing or long course, so I didn't get into too much trouble.

    2/4 fairways, 3/9 greens, 15 putts.

Single stableford at Half Moon Bay. 34 points which is disappointing given I had two birdies. Two wipes offset the good work and a couple of three putts undid what could have been a solid round.

Golf is, in part, a game; but only in part. It is also in part a religion, a fever, a vice, a mirage, a frenzy, a fear, an abscess, a joy, a thrill, a pest, a disease, an uplift, a brooding, a melancholy, a dream of yesterday and a hope for tomorrow. - New York Tribune, 1916.

37pts (-1) at Tanilba Bay GC today.

Should have been better as I was -3 at the turn, happy with the score though, it is the first time under par in comp for me here.

2 ball stableford multiplier tomorrow. Gonna need big results on our 12 scoring holes.

Best if you have your wipes on the same hole ,

Would have had 87 (2 wipes) in the multiplier.

Would have, but I was paired with someone else so we didn’t.

Played WA Golf Club Summer cup on Sunday; first time ever, looked like a pretty course when I went for lessons and Trackman sessions....
Wasn't disappointed... top notch condition, a few of their greens were rebuild recently, so they were not disappointing... Club house was great because it had GUINNESS on tap !YAY!

    Golf wise, it was so so for me... A PAR game shot gun start on the 9th hole, by the time I got to the 16th, I was 2 up; by the time I got to the 18th, I was 1 down.... ended the day at 4 down... was pretty windy day too;
Apparently the score for the day was pretty average too, with -4 seems like the average, and the winners were at +4,+2 and even.

Unfortunately, right ankle and left lower back is pretty stuffed this morning...

Stableford/ 4bbb at beaconhills today out before the heat supposedly, 21/25 with a one pointer in the back nine , course was set up easy so expect 50 pts to win . Singles had 18/20 , two birdies , drove it badly until 14 th but scrambled well , no 3 putts no wipes

Are you a member there? I heard they let any goose on as a visitor midweek.

    Yes I am a member.

    It’s a golf course.
Why would they not welcome visitors? Goose or not.

If you have a GA and some dollars you can play in any comps they have spots available.
