I vote for more public holidays on Mondays, because it means the Ballina Monday Vets Comp becomes an open comp, the tee times are extended, and I get to have a Monday game.
My 34 points was nothing special, but I hit some good shots and enjoyed my day on the course.
A rarity for me was hitting all the par 3 holes in reg, but on 3 of the 4 I was at least 60 feet away. No NTP's for me, I'm afraid.

Usual Tuesday stableford at beaconhills, 16/19 , 1 birdie, no wipes , got the drives working a bit better , one 3 putt , putting and chipping was a bit average / poor , hit a lot of iron shots fat .still broke 80 so not all bad

Thursday comp at beaconhills, first round of grand masters (60+) mid week champs, stroke 75 (37,38 ) nett 69 3 birds no wipes no 3 putts one double ( tangled with some trees) . Struck the ball pretty well only one bad drive on 16 th which led to the double ( was only one over till then ) 3 or 4 lazy bogeys , 29 putts ( hit more greens ). Not impressed with the doubleb , bogey, par finish .

First round of knockout today.Had to give up 10 shots and was up 5 thanks to my opposition playing poorly
Then he found his rhythm and started pulling a few shots back.He got it back to 1 with 5 to play but I managed to pick up a hole on a par 3 where he had a shot.Lost 16 after opponent putted in for par from off the green and my birdie half putt missed by 1/2 a ball.Won 17 after a mammoth drive and gap wedge onto green while opponent finally got on for 4 and conceded.I got the win 2&1.
Next week I give up 12 shots I think
Considering I hit 78 OTS and was 2 under handicap I thought it was a great result

Am guessing it wasn’t a 9 hole comp

Although it’s 2/2/19 will post in here as well , same match play as joe , very different result , giving 16 shots I knew day was over after my first shot which was hit well but bounced opposite to the slope . Opponent halved me with a par then had 15 consecutive holes with a shot . Cracked it on the second, could have claimed the hole over advise / coaching from one of the other match play guys , we go out in 2 x2 matches/pairs , but then you cop the sheep stations a /hole a graders etc , even tho he won the whole because of it . Lived up to my reputation for the rest of the nine , was 3 down , hit a 260/70 mtr drive down 10 into a divot , had 6 inch par putt opponent refused to give it , he rolled an eight footer for par and a win , conceded match on 11 th tee went home . Toys out of the cot membership canceled.

Why did you wait almost an entire month to report your January medal score?
