    Default Wilson FG Tour v6

    Hi all,

Has anyone played these? Looking at them as I’ve had my Nike very tw blades for a long time and looking to upgrade to something a little more forgiving but still looks appealing to my eye. Plus they can be had for a little cheaper than bigger names.

Looking for thoughts on forgiveness, feel, potentially looking at trying out the modus 130S I got from MrBluu.

    Thanks,

    Iain

Iain, I have the FG Tour V4’s...and they r wonderful. All reports are that the V6’s are better!
Great clubs available at reasonable prices.

Titty AP2 but don’t expect super GI. If you hit the middle relatively often, they r equal to the best.

I used them for 4 rounds, which is above average. Better feel than the Ap2 716 and consistent distance. Was able to work the ball and had good rounds with 3 in the seventies.Got rid of them because the brand recognition is a bit meow.

I’ve gamed them for maybe 18 months now. They are awesome irons. If you’re playing poorly, it ain’t their fault. I got them because of the way they look over the ball. Better than any other in the players category IMO. And they have that buttery feel to them most of us love.

Thanks Pete, certainly not expecting GI or super GI. Ap2 was something else I was looking at also.

Had 4 birdies in a row last week with Adams XTD forged so maybe you should buy them at a fifth the price.

I just picked up a set of V5s. They have been on my wanted list for quite a while. I already have Driver, 3 Wood and Hybrid to match, plus a Wilson Mallet. I am looking forward to rocking a full Wilson bag sometime in 2019.

I’m good with either name, both perfectly suitable

As for the sticks, quality irons, great feel

They sitting idle at the moment, as they do suit as someone said, a swing that hits the middle more often then not

Certainly quality heads in my view, mostly for the better than average striker. Pretty good to build with too
