Default A Nice TV that does golf and cricket well

Looking to finally get my media room setup. After a TV that can show a white ball on green grass.

Main TV in the lounge is a Panasonic plasma (55") that plays sports beautifully. Every time I watch Golf or cricket on LED, seems to struggle showing the ball crisply against the grass.

Almost went OLED (which seemed good), but the reports of burn in are becoming more frequent.

Setup will be a PS4 running Kayo, through a TBC AV receiver. TV size likely to be 65".

    Current fave is this:

    Hit me!

Don't have a model number by chance? LG have about 100 models...

What are the key features needed for fast sports? Isn’t it the hertz or something? Higher the hertz the better? 200hz??

My current tv shows shadows. Kills me at times.

Not quite sure tbh. It appears higher frequency (120hz seems to be good), and a lower response rate.

I mainly ask here as cricket or golf is never on when I am checking out TV's in the shops.

Make sure you get the new 4K Foxtel box. I was over a mates earlier and he had a 65” Sony not sure of the model but going through the Fox4k it was mint. The picture was just so sharp

We have a Panasonic TH-65DX700A. Mainly watch football (NFL and Rugby) and a bit of the golf. I love the TV. It has HDR etc.

I have a panasonic 4k 65" OLED, with a Foxtel IQ4 box. Great combo. The 55" Panasonic OLED is under $2000.
Had it for a year now.
It was cricket on FTA TV (1080i) which convinced us to buy a year ago.

Yeah, the Panasonic OLED was the clear winner at the shop. If it wasn't for the increasing amount of reports of screen burn in (on OLEDs in General), that would probably on it's way home by now.

I have been watching Foxtel and FTA plus occasional blu-ray and UHD discs for 12 months - no burn-in for me.
    I don't do gaming.
What use is causing any reported burn-in?

Generally logos on sport, or HUD on games.

Did a bit more reading yesterday, and apparently the 2018 OLED panels are far more resistant to burn in than the older ones, so I might go for a Pana or Sony OLED I think. Will do an in shop review when I get home.

I’ve got one of these Benno, Sony KD75x8500f.

Not OLED but I can barely tell the difference at home. Plays HDR and 4K Netflix like a champ, Fox Sports has been awesome, especially Fox Cricket and golf.

I’m waiting for my Foxtel 4K box to arrive which will ramp it up a bit.

Still running’s PS3 for bluray but might upgrade seeing as there are some pretty sweet PS4 deals over the Boxing Day sales.
