Default 3 wood shaft in a driver?

Anyone tried throwing a 3 wood shaft into a driver head? So slightly heavier shaft, 43-43.5 inches total length and perhaps adding a few grams to the head.

Should increase accuracy and I don’t think there will be much loss in distance.

I’ve been reasonably accurate with my hybrid but I need something that will go 20-30m linger without losing accuracy.

    Thoughts?

I think your looking for something you don’t need...
I think a Nunchuk would be what you seek...

I had a stock stiff shaft from an RBZ Stage 2 3W in a Jetspeed driver head for a while. Seemed to go pretty good. I didn’t bother adding any weight to the head.

You also have the option of a Mini Driver. Largish 3 Wood Head, option of stronger lofts 13/14* and a longer but lighter shaft. TM and Callaway in particular made a few of these.

My driver is 44” and in the 75g range, current 3w has a shaft that plays 5w length. The 3 is definitely more accurate.

I’ve moved to 75g Driver shafts playing at 44 or 44.5 and think they are great. Had to move to 85g in fairways also but find them mint also.
