Default Vic Final - Chappy vs Toolish

27th August @ The Dunes...with the biggest ever Victorian field booked in to watch.

Game on chappy...both off 9 at this stage so no shots to worry about...

Moe might have some words to say on the choice of venue, but it is locked in now.

Will Bruce and FG be playing off for 3rd?

Not just that but we're probably getting sick of the sight of each other and would prefer to play with someone different at last.

    A story of the day.

Ona, Bruce, chiper, Toolish, Chappy, Flowergirl, Falcon and John.

The swing shots will be up later. They add up a bit. Having had a million shots I decided to take some with the camera. Got some tee shots from my group as they headed up 14 and then jumped fairways to follow the Matchplay group up 15.

    First putt was Chappys.

    But he finished up here.

From about the same spot was Toolish.

He was a bit better. Story of the day really.

    chiper lines his up.

Flowergirl asks "Does this putter make my bum look big?"

Then came my group who had apparently lit it up while I was away. Falcon hit the flagstick from about 150m and Ona drained a bomb. I must have been holding them back. It didn't stop there though.

Falcon lines up his eagle putt on 15.

    Heartbreaker!!!

Who has the better style John or FG?

Ona is difficult to get a good shot of while he is putting. He has a pre-shot routine that makes Aaron Baddely look like a fidgety procrastinator. This was the best I could do.

And here are the videos of the drives on 16.

Glad to hear it was a good day, guys.

    Well played, Toolish.

    Looking good, FG.

Thanks for taking the photos, Bruce. There's an OZgolf gallery if you want to set something up in there.

And looking at Ona's putter grip again I still wonder about its' conformity.

'Bulges' are apparently not allowed although irregular cross-sections are.

I think we should send off to the R&A.

I noticed, but realised it was after the matchplay result was decided, so let it go.

However, there were still OZgolf dollars at stake.......

Hmm...yeah, guess so...that said, I always stand behind my putt as a routine start so it is a way to speed up play

If I was standing elsewhere I would have to move around then come in from behind it!!

Okay, I'll let you in on the a move I like to call the Ducky shuffle.

Anyway, position yourself behind and to the side of your playing partner who is putting. As they hit the ball, you power-walk like you're going for an Olympic gold medal to directly behind their line to get the read.

Keep in mind, I just recently took 38 putts, so use this with caution.

Do you have the breast wobbling thing going on when rushing behind the line just like Mickelson did?
