A sensible business decision, offers its members more choice, and has the potential to encourage more FROM the local region to join with the enticement of having several clubs to play

Agreed, it's a very astute business move indeed. You would think it opens up a solid member base ... It will be interesting to see how the merger (if it goes ahead) impacts subs.
With the proposed merger and the newly designed ocean course, it's all happening ... should be fun times ahead !

Im not so sure the subs will increase that much, bearing in mind you have all the Huntingdale members onboarding as well, so there is still plenty of income for the mogul club
I think its fabulous that Nash is taking its opportunities; a pity other clubs around the country could not do the same

Having played a reasonable amount at Huntingdale via reciprocals, this is the first time I would have thought to join if I lived in Melbourne.

Hopefully Nash unleash Doak on Huntingdale, let the chainsaws and bunker filling commence!

Actually wouldn't mind seeing what he'd do with a sandbelt style course ... I assume he has not done one ? Could be wrong though.

Just finished up at Concord in Sydney too.
If you look at his webpage, a tonne of his self rated "best courses" are in Aus and Nz.

Huntingdale would better suited as a car park ! It would be like placing lipstick on a pig! Except for a few trees of significance the goat track needs to be leveled......

I'd give it to Mike Cocking.
