It's a pity Laguna Quays doesn't exist anymore. A Hamilton Island / Laguna Quays double would be awesome.
Golf is, in part, a game; but only in part. It is also in part a religion, a fever, a vice, a mirage, a frenzy, a fear, an abscess, a joy, a thrill, a pest, a disease, an uplift, a brooding, a melancholy, a dream of yesterday and a hope for tomorrow. - New York Tribune, 1916.

I played Laguna heaps of times in the 90’s, at its peak it was the best conditioned course I have ever played. Great place to play and hang out.A mate sent me the link to this website a few years ago -http://www.savelagunawhitsundays.info/Save_Laguna_Whitsundays/Welcome.htmlAlmost makes me cry!

Ahh Laguna what a course it was. Heard a bunch of Chinese business men purchased it in 2015 but just stalled. But with Paradise palms closing down I dont think NQ could sustain Laguna re opening at this stage. Its a shame as we have little on offer these days up here.
I know we need the rain, but isn't it always the way that it turns up right when you don't want it.
Not sure but I think old TC Owen is going to bugger my chances of playing this Saturday.

Unfortunately no golf, course was closed the days I had free to play, 300mm of rain and 35 knot winds will do that.
Course is going to look brillant once it finally clears up and the sun comes out.
