I've just moved to Upper Brookfield, still have 9 months of membership at Proserpine to keep my GA hc so hopefully I'll get to try everywhere first.
Any Ozgolfers at Indro, Keperra, Oxley or Gailes that could give an opinion on atmosphere, and availability of Saturday rounds?
Annoyingly almost every course is around 30 mins from me, so they're all options.
Played comp at Karana Downs Saturday, fantastic hospitality by the members, and tricky tight short course, but par 66. Fees are much closer to prossy's though

Par is just a number. I would consider the enjoyment more important, and it sounds like you enjoyed the round at KD, KC.

I don't think we have any regular posters at those courses anymore, except Keperra (contact damoocow), although it seems like the longest drive easily. Jindalee (9 holes), Wolston Park (Par 67), and McLeod are courses within that distance radius too.

Welcome, just down the road from you in Kenmore. I am a member at Jindalee as it is cheap and close with great people. Spoke to a mate at Oxley last month and easy enough to get on to on Saturdays. Did mention the post match atmosphere is a little lacking.

Another mate recently joined gailes on a handicap membership and is enjoying the condition only gets a mid week round in
If it aint for sale the right price has just not been offered

Played Karana Downs about a year ago - interesting course in good nick.
Keperra via Gap Creek rd probably not that far from Brookfield - how Upper are you though? - course is in great nick - new greens staff, new dam etc - never missed a tee time if I played on a Sat -good bunch of members - think they are considering reintroducing the nom fee soon [$1000]

How far are you to Brookwater? It’s the best course out that way by far.

Thanks everyone for the input! I've played Brookwater a few times, the best around but possibly too hard to be enjoyable regularly? Oxley, Keperra and Karana Downs leading so far. Proserpine is reciprocal with Keperra do will get a good chance to try it out.
AndyP absolutely, the group I played with signed me up for this weekend so it's looking good for sure!

A bit overwhelmed by the amount of choice, but by the sounds of this whole thread all/most are going to be great

Sigbed up for the black marker challenge at Gailes tomorrow. Getting beaten up by the course probably not the best introduction! 12:16 if anyone is keen

Say hi to any of my former housemates that might wander across the fairways there, on the way to the train station.

I thought it had on the first hole, and the 15th, but somehow got away with a net 71 to come second.
Loved the course, plenty of holes that give you options, but then rip your heart out if you can't pull it off. Greens ran pretty slow today which definitely helped me. Very two paced depending on the grain. Course in Good knick overall. Could see myself playing that regularly.
The two members I played with were great, helpful and jovial. Some decent membership options too.
I think I might do one of these little reviews for each course?
