Default Victoria Park Golf Brisbane CBD

Just asking the question as my wifes family are in Brisbane and we are there for Christmas but from 26th to the 2nd we are in the City walking distance from Victoria park just wondering what the course is like from locals? looks to be a very short course but in good nick from photos

The driving range and cafe/bar there are good. I haven’t played the course for a few years but wouldn’t again any time soon. Very short (think the back 9 has 5 par 3s from memory) and on the weekends in particular is full of bucks parties and people who’ve never held a club before so unless you can get off first thing the round will take forever. The closeness to the CBD is by far the best thing about it.
Cinderella story, out of nowhere, former greenskeeper, now about to become a Masters champion..... It looks like a mirac.. It's in the hole! It's in the hole!

I haven't played the course for ages, but it has been chopped up and rearranged several times, due to the range and a bypass road. It was never that great in the first place. It is likely to be expensive too.

It is still golf though, so if you get out there early enough it might be worth a look.

Play it on a Tuesday - half price at about $16 - less people. Course does have probably too many par 3's but has some great par 4's also - for a council course it is usually in better nick than many other Brisbane courses.

Thanks fellas, yeah will be mid week hits maybe only fit a range session and 1 round anyway with family stuff, like Andy said its still golf. But early morning maybe a couple of 9's over 2 or 3 days before the crew even wake might be the go.
