Default Explorer Challenge Rnd 3 - Date to be determined

Time to start thinking about the next Explorer round, and get it locked in before the silly season overwhelms us.

I’ve been told that you have been doing some heavy research for this Daves. I hope it falls on a weekend that I am around.

Edit: I’m guessing that there is a poll here, that shitty Tapatalk isn’t showing me.

I actually haven't played any of these courses, so I'll go with the general consensus.

Have a look and vote FFS.

Is Meadowbrook the old 27 hole course? If so, I’d probably have it at the bottom of the list.

I’ve played Karana several times, but I’d have no issue revisiting.

I'll go with whichever one annoys AndyP the most.

I have not played Logan City (or any of the 4 for that matter), but believe it is the same 27 hole course, just renamed.

you could probably do north pine and albany links on the same day, you would be round in 1-1.5 hours each and they are only 15-20 mins apart. you also wouldn't need to bring anything bigger then a wedge.

Unless we get rain, you will be struggling to find a blade of grass at Village Links.

Did it close or just change its name? I know they shut down public access for a while. The website appears to be still active, but it seems to be called Cabarlah Golf Club now?

    Beaudesert is a good track.
Probably close to the best greens in SEQ.

Pretty sure Banora and Burleigh Palms are closed down.Edit: Banora is a nine hole course now, used to be 18.

Chambers Pines/Flats is now a housing estate, so that didn't get my vote.

Bugger, iSeek still had it listed and there is a Facebook page for it.

I would have substituted Beaudesert, but now 3P wants it....

Brisbane River is currently marginally ahead in the poll. I will give it till next Friday and then look to make a final call. I assume only a Mod can amend the Poll?

I'd vote for Beaudesert over Brisbane River, but I'm also unlikely to be available to play.

    Splitter!

OK, Brisbane River is still leading the poll, just. Beaudesert is the alternative, and it is a Reciprocal with Reddie Bay as well, so there is that.

We will need to identify the nearest public Brewery once picked!

To get an idea of numbers and dates can those that are interested in playing post their course preference and any Sundays between now and the end of November that they can't make it.

Daves: Preference is Beaudesert; Out for 21/10 and 11/11.

Do you want me to fix the poll, reset it and change it to Beaudesert and Karana Downs?

    Beaudesert. Out for 14/10.

I have changed the poll. It's a bit dicky if you have already voted. I set 2 for Beaudesert (Daves and Me) and left the 3 Karana Downs votes in there. If you want to change your vote let me know.
