New Black & White Marker Challenge - Redland Bay, Friday 28th Sept 7.00am
The club has found a new sponsor, so the Black Markers are back.
First Prize is weekend for two at Tangalooma Resort on Morton Island. Net beating ACR (71) wins a shirt.
I have booked the opening tee times i.e. 7.00am and 7.07am. These are holder slots, I will re-sort the groups once we have final numbers
7.00am
1. Daves 88/75
2. PeteyD 97/79
3. billp 93/78
4. ruley 89/79
Come and get in the mood for the Ryder Cup that starts in earnest that evening.

The 28th? That is the day the Wynnum Plate back marker is on. Have they move it out of sync (used to be the first Friday of the month) and now in competition with their nearest 'Bay Golf' track's back marker?

I think it is a one off, but I will have to check. I suspect that they had booked a Corporate Day on the "normal" 1st Friday date.

I'd normally join you two, but I have been asked by a few Wynnum members to play the back marker so I'll have a dig at that as they have already organised the day off work.

What is the coring schedule for Reddy Bay? Wynnum is being done today. Not sure they will snap back well enough in a week and a half with the weather forecast. I might make an appearance at this after all.

Not till November, according to our Fixtures.

I might give this one another go, was going to play Wynnum but not after coring (thanks for the heads up Henno). Happy to go into another group since Jarro and Henno are already in.
Current Golflink is 2201002812 if there are any spots in a group near yours?

There are plenty of open slots following at the moment, but our new website isn't allowing me to book visitors. Grrrr! I will need to ring the club and sort it at opportunity.

OK, sorted, sort of. I have locked up the first two tee slots, will just need to sort some names later on.
Bill, I assume your GL is Social/Country type membership? If so, there will likely be a higher green/comp fee applicable as Reddie Bay introduced extra fees for these club members earlier in the year. I will confirm at opportunity.

Thanks Dave. Wynnum is good because it is a reciprocal of Mullumbimby so it is cheaper. But understand, it was $27 before they made the new one, so just let me know.

Mullumbimby isn't specifically mentioned in the Fee Schedule, so I will have to enquire at opportunity.

Thanks, I know a lot of clubs are charging extra comp fees for the likes of Qantas Membership or GenY golf etc, that are social memberships that offer a handicap.

Don't specifically hold any spots for me yet. Some of the Wynnum members have already taken the day off work and I had promised them a game so I'll see how things work out. They (and myself) might end up getting a group of our own yet.

This isn't a Bay Golf day is it, because they moved the dates around? I just had two playing partners pull out of my group of 4 at Wynnum that's all.

Yes, it should still be a Bay Golf day. It will be the 1st Friday each month (in future) , like the old one.

Sorry Dave, hurt my shoulder working on the Land Barge last night. I think I will stick local or even skip the day entirely.

Hi Dave,
If you need to make up the fourth I'll come out for a hit. Never played the course so it would be good for a change. 4081303823 G/L if it works.
Cheers,
Dean
