    Default Replacement sunglass lenses.

Apologies in advance if there is a thread already about this that I've missed.

I've got a pair pf Oakley Canteen that I use primarily for golf which had the Prizm lenses in them. The lenses now look like they are delaminating and the Canteen is a discontinued model. I really like the frames and so I'm looking around for a non genuine replacement lens.

The best I've found so far is a mob called The Sunglass Fix. Does anypne else have any other sources they have used for replacement lenses, non genuine or otherwise?

    Cheers

Dave, check out Sublime Optics and Revant Optics. I've used Sublime in the past, and have heard Revant are equivalent. I'm not sure that they have a Prizm equivalent though.

While much more expensive, have you asked at a sunglasses place? My pair were discontinued as well and couldn't find originals online, but the store was able to get original prism lens for me from oakley.

I have always wondered about the non genuine lenses? Especially since I used to wear bolle safety glasses as my sunnies and they were only $25/pair.

I've purchased 8-10 pairs of replacement/additional lenses from Sublime and you would be hard pressed to know which is the original when side by side.

Thanks for that Courty, I'll chexk them out. The Sunglass Fix lenses were cheap so I'm no worse off if they end up lasting only a short while.

I checked this out first with the Sunglass Hut, which is where they were originally purchased. Having a look through their database there were no replacement lenses anywhere in Australia or the US unfortunately.

The great thing about replacement lenses is that you can compare them to your old lenses and decide which lenses peform well in low light or mottled sun and those which are better for those bitching hot days where the glare ratchets up, frying your viewing biscuits.

I cracked the originals in my Costas, and went with Fuse replacement lenses. Pretty good price, and am very happy with the golf lens they have (the pink one).

edit: I think it is called "amber".

Did the Fuse costa lot less than the originals?

I can vouch for Revant optics, have used them a couple of times. Had one set of lenses start to de-laminate just after warranty and they replaced with no problems. All good since..

    Had no issues with Sublime.

The polarised lenses don't quite have the pop that Oakley's do but it's not a $100 difference.

Used them since forever, would recommend.

    Default Replacement sunglass lenses.

Dave I’ve used Walleva in the past for both golf and cycling lenses.

    Good quality. Cheap. Fast postage.
