    Default 2018 Birdie Comp

    Hi All

I have volunteered to run the Qld Champs birdie comp. Please sign up in this thread.
This will be run Thusday-Sunday rounds.

    FAQ

    1. How does it work?
Good question, every day you will nominate before the round you want to enter. To enter you must score a birdie on one of the holes that round. The hole you score the birdie (s) becomes your lucky number. After every round, there will be a lotto draw. If your number is drawn you win the cash! Simple.

    2. Can I enter more than once?
Sure can, have 4 birdies one round, that's 4 entries.

    3. Do my birdies carry over?
No, one competition per day. Enter as many or as little as you want. But let me know BEFORE your round of you want to enter.

    4. How much does it cost?
$5 per round. You want to enter all 4 days... $20. Enter as little or all the days.

    5. What if I enter and don't have a birdie?
This is known as doing a 3puttpete and we thank you for your $5 donation.

    6. Is it gross or net birdie?
    Gross only you chopper!

    7. What if several people Birdie the same hole?
Money is split. Unless you want us to judge some sort of singing competition? So birdie the harder holes for more chance to take home a bigger prize.

    8.How much do I win?
Depends on the entries. But you will win 75% of the pool with the other 25% going to our selected charity. So don't be a tight arse you are helping regardless.

    9. Do you accept PayPal?
No, I want cash on the day. If you want to do all your days let me know in the thread and It will make it easier.Entering the playing days (let me know your days of play)?

Due to myself not arriving until Thursday night please remember any birdies made and a draw will be conducted before Friday's round.
Also if you enter Thursday round and don't have any birdies I will be collecting your $5 Friday morning regardless.

I'll be helping the big fella out and collecting Birdie Moneys at KV prior to the round, and recording Birdies gained. You will be able to pay for 1 or all the rounds you are playing in. Note the draw will still be done as outlined above.

Better than having 2 in one day and only getting paid for 1. What a waste.

Agreed, but getting 2 in 1 day definitely wasn't what I was feeling.

    What's a 2-putt?

I'm hoping for a hole out wedge.

    Par 5s:

Kooralbyn: 1st - 520m. Flat, water all along left, possible with a good drive - not anymore back to what it should be.
4th - 446m. Straight up a valley. Elevated tee but uphill for the second half. Possible.
7th - 482m. Dogleg right, big gully before green. Need a really good drive to have a crack in 2 as it is through a chute
13th - 532m. Downhill, basically straight. Lots of water right of fairway from about 150 in, and around back of green. But definitely a possible with M3J length.

RQ: 7th - 512 (516)m. Memory is hazy on RQ it was a while ago. Tough green with hazards near it though.
    9th - 479 (525)m. Some hazard on the right.
10th - 458 (463)m. Go for it. Bunkers to miss on drive.
12th - 292m Par 4. My favourite hole from last time. Worth a crack for long hitters.
15th - 480 (496)m. Water all the way down the right, but don't let that deter you!

Pac Harbour: 1, 3, 5, 11, 14. It will all depend on the wind. All have some water on either tee shot or near the green or both. And the bunkers are killer.

Brookwater: 4th - 551. No way. Down the valley then steeply up the other side.
8th - 527m. Up hill all the way, raised green. Not likely.
13th - 551m. Long but downhill. Well protected green. Maybe.
    17th - 483m. Reachable. Dogleg right.

When did they add 170m to the 1st at Kooralbyn?
