Default 2018 Champs - Dinner Time!

Now it's time to organise the most important part of champs - the food. I don't know South Brisbane / West Overly well, but I have been recommended this by a local friend:

    http://juliuspizzeria.com.au/

Open to any other suggestions locals (or non-locals) might want to visit...

    And GO!!

Friday Night - Booked by PeteyD - The Burrow 7:00 pm: PeteyD, Mrs PeteyD, AndyP, LeftyHoges, Benno_R, TheCollective, Courty, Peppas, Bushy, Jono, SundayHack, Matt3Jabb, BITS, Jazzdog, Marcel, Ron Burgundy

Although it has been a while for me, Punjabi Palace was always good if you like indian.

Also Ugees coffee in boundary street does awesome coffee. We go there to get our beans for home.

Other places that do good food but not sure if they open for dinner include 3 monkeys and the gunshop cafe.

There is also the bistro at the Melbourne Hotel.

There are a LOT of restaurants just where we are staying.

I have been there a few times. It is pretty good food and quite popular. It always seems to be full and is also quite close to the Southbank precinct.

Not sure if the combination of Indian Food and Craft Beer are a good mix when sharing a room with someone....

The Burrow in West End is always good value.
Menu and drinks list on their web site.
Hey, let's pop some Viagras and issue tickets with raging, mega-huge boners.

This was one that I already had in mind. I have been to their new location in West End, but it was good before.

I could list plenty of other craft beer places in the area that serve food too.......

My mate owns this place so keen to try it out. Probably heading there on Friday night.

A certain Monty Python song is now stuck in my head. 😁

Golf is, in part, a game; but only in part. It is also in part a religion, a fever, a vice, a mirage, a frenzy, a fear, an abscess, a joy, a thrill, a pest, a disease, an uplift, a brooding, a melancholy, a dream of yesterday and a hope for tomorrow. - New York Tribune, 1916.

I was going to put my hand up to to organise one of the dinners (maybe at The Burrow or Jame Squires), but now that I am stuck at a customer site, and have upcoming travel, I just can't do it.

Can some other attendees volunteer to take one night's dinner each for organising? I don't think this is something that benno should have to look after.

The Burrow is a relatively easy walk from the Accommodation. It is craft beer and Pizza. I am happy to organise a booking for Friday Night if we can sort out approximate numbers.

The Burrow have got back to me. I have a tentative booking for Friday night at 7pm for 12 and maybe a few more, numbers to be confirmed. 12 based on the 10 staying at the apartments + me and the boss.

Is that all that is staying out of nearly 30? That's a lot of asterisks.
