37 points today. 1 birdie, 4 doubles, 4 pars. 34 putts from 5 GIR. Left a a few dead in the heart an inch or two short, and lipped out on another. 10/14 fairways. New irons went well. Was dead behind a tree a couple of times thanks to pulled driver and drowned a ball. Pretty happy with today. Starting to get a bit of length out of my shots (for me anyway!).

Glad a semi decent round on the 2nd 9 playing 43 with a few bad shots

Pity had a 53 on the first 9. Can't putt and chip to save my life... getting a 8 and losing a ball on a par 3 did not give me much confidence.

    Windy and cold day though

First week of 3 man teams today.Hit it well, made some putts and enjoyed the day.To bloody long though,5 hours due to a couple lost balls, torrential rain and slippery conditions.
Me personally,I was happy with most of my game today, but then again I know a couple of mistakes that I would like a mulligan over.

Yesterday was Round 1 of the Club Championships, which I am playing with Bushy & Solarman.

    I shot a solid 40 (+3) on the back 9, but a couple of soft bogies on 1 & 2, and a double on 4 were my undoing. 80/75.

None of the big guns posted a low score, so I'm not really too far out of it... my goal is to finish Top 16 (gross) to qualify for the matchplay.

    43/38 for 81(74)

    43/43 for 86(79)

Doesn’t really tell the whole story. Damage done early yesterday and fought hard to stay somewhere in it. Today it was 2 holes on my front that finished with triples before working my ass off to make pars and birdies. Alas I finished the last 3 in bogey, double, double to really fist myself. Pretty dejected tbh because I’m driving it well, putting the spots off it but just can’t seem to do anything in between.

Can’t work on it before next week either because I’m on a plane at 5am tomorrow for the week.

Awesome to see our little mate Frodo playing really well for B grade. Hope he can close it out next week.

Played with the new MP15 5-8 and MP4 9&PW today. Driver has been working well.... surprisingly easy to hit the MP15 as today is the first time I've hit it.

The short games and putting hurt my game again today. First 9 was just terrible. Struggled with getting on the Par 3s with the wind. Annoying that I have the right distance but just left or right of green. Troublesome chipping jmdoesnt help.

Finished the day with 32 (14&1 points

Round 2 today with the same crew. It was a pretty similar round in many ways. Too many soft bogies again, primarily stemming from poor chips. 79/73.

    29 points.

Had 26 after 13 in real feel 0 degrees and 40k winds blowing off the snow capped Brindabellas. Then had 4 wipes in a row...

Winner had 34. I won a ball. Insane.

    Played Royal Canberra yesterday.

    Played the 19-27 then 1-9.

Was going well, was -3 after 9 with a 3 putt par on 27.

Played ok for holes 1 - 9 but 4 soft bogeys hurt.

    Ended up having 73.

Oh well, off to Federal today!

26 points at Federal today would indicate no. But I did feel I hit it better than that!

It's dormant at the moment but should green up soon.

Greens were rolling really nicely but downhill they were lightning !!

I didn't really have the pace all day. The didn't break as much as I was giving them, so don't read too much into them, but check the downhill / uphill as they are slippery then slow back up. Good fun but.

Funniest part of the day was my playing partner saying "aim at that bunker, you won't reach it" on the 14th or so. Smashed it into the bunker, wedged onto green but spun off and took double. Dogs breakfast from there.

    Enjoy it but!

Round 3 of our Club Championships... I'm kicking myself for what could have been. Finished with 81/75, but had a quad on 15 (3 in the sand) and another hitler on 9.

Stroke comp with Olinda at Beaconhills, 2 nd round of the 3 man teams event . 38/39 =77 nett 68 (39 pts) . Won the day, won the individual for the two days , won the teams event by 12 shots . Today’s round 6 pars 3 bogies first nine , 4 pars four bogies one birdie second nine . No doubles which meant no wipes , one 3 putt , one penalty shot . Driver wasn’t great but scrambled all day . Even the birdie was from in the trees .

Stableford at Maryborough today. Was a bit nervous as I am 0.1 off anchor, and havent had a game or touched a club for 6 weeks.

Started poorly, with 4pts after 4 holes (thanks pull draws). Battled through the rest of the front 9 with pars and bogeys to turn in 16. Steady bogey golf until 13 where a block put another wipe on the cards. Could only manage 1 more par from there to finish 16/17 33.

Probably going to be anchored, but in amongst the crud i did hit a few good shots for the first time in a while.
