Given the forecast of wind over the weekend all of them would have an opportunity if they play well. I’d say Adam and Jason the most likely though.

One of the great things about The Open is that you can go through almost the entire list of players after 36 holes and analyse their performance. Whether it actually means anything that Jon Rahm missed the cut but Lucas Herbert made it is debateable. But it is fun to do it anyway.
Of the missed the cut guys, I'm officially writing Sergio off as a contender from now on until he actually does something good in a major, logic says Rahm is too good to keep missing cuts in majors, and for DJ it was just one of those events.
I'm not sure about Spieth or Fowler as contenders. I thought both of them rode their luck a bit.
On the other hand, Kisner and Zach have games suited to the fast conditions, and should be hard to beat, but the guy to beat them appears to be Fleetwood. I wish I had put money on him, but I didn't. I also wish I had put something on Xander with an X.
Great tournament, still.

If I was a betting man (I’m strictly not) my money would be on cyclops to win his second open

What a disastrous Day 3 for me.
I get ridiculed for offering an opinion. I look forward to insightful analysis from my critics after the 2nd round of the PGA, assuming they determine that the good players who have missed the cut can't play on tree-lined parkland courses, or can't handle the pressure of a major, or if not from the US, they can't play away from their home continent.
But, I've been wrong before, and it appears I was wrong again yesterday. I thought Young Jordan would fade away, but he played a great round. I wrote off Justin Rose (based on his 36 hole score and previous poor Open record), and he played a great round. Brooks Koepka and to a lesser extent Zach Johnson folded under the burden of carrying my money.
I need Zach to improve, and Leish or Patrick Reed to shoot the lights out to backdoor their way into the top 10 to get anything out of this Open.
Assuming none of that happens, I'll have to work out who to cheer for. I want Tiger to play well, but I don't actually want him to win because the media frenzy will be unbearable. A Rory or Rosey win might be just as bad. Therefore, I think I'll cheer for Xander and/or Frankie M. Both of them are good players who might win more than one major if they can make the breakthrough and win their first one tonight.

Thank you Jim for putting yourself out there.
I'm also going to put myself out there and say the winner will come from one of Jordan or Xander, with my outsider being Tommy.
Gawd I hope Kisner doesn't win....something kinda creeps me out with him.

Jim your analysis is why I come.
I don’t think it’s a secret that a Tiger win is what I want however the likelihood is that Jordan or Tommy will be the victors.
Either way it’s probably going to be awesome. Can’t wait.

Remember the accolades for the US Open.. yep - all forgotten now.
