Again the Open shows the USGA how to A) How to prepare a golf course for Championship play B) How to set that same course up during the week to make it difficult or easy.

Course was undoubtedly hard and fast but the greens being about 10 on the stimp is what made the difference. Imagine if Chambers Bay had similar greens to what we had here? It would have been the best US Open in history.

I’ll admit my heart was in my mouth as Tiger made the turn in the lead but alas it was Frankie Molinari that got the trophy, well deserved too considering his last month or so. Clearly the most in form player, not a bomber, very intelligent.

I was. Had my headphones on but apparently still had enough in my silent cheers to wake the wife up. Lucky because if i had woken the kids I’d be dead meat.

LOL!!! Yeah it was good to see him in the mix and i'm sure it moved the needle plenty in a great tourney. Plenty of big names there near the end and some exciting viewing.

One of the great things about the open is that after four days you can go through a list of most players and analyze their performance.

Didn't make a single red number on Sunday, so I'd agree with that.

I watched Langer last night. you could fit a mack truck between his top hand and his chest. Some very dark tinted glasses in the anti anchoring crowd.

I'd end up with a groin injury if I had to get in that position and try to swing a club.

Golf is, in part, a game; but only in part. It is also in part a religion, a fever, a vice, a mirage, a frenzy, a fear, an abscess, a joy, a thrill, a pest, a disease, an uplift, a brooding, a melancholy, a dream of yesterday and a hope for tomorrow. - New York Tribune, 1916.

Reckon he’s adjusted that, he was the hot topic not that long ago
