Beaconhills today stableford , very windy , 19/17 finished 6th , winner had 38 . I had 12 pts after four holes so disappointing to finish with only 36 . 1 birdie 1 three putt . Managed to win the money in our little side group tho. Cap down.4 to 7.7

Single stab today was quite the journey:

2 points through the first four holes, and finished the round with a 4-putt wash.
    4 x 2-pointers
    7 x 3 pointers
    5 x washes
    5 x 1 pointers

I am not sure I have ever had a card with almost twice as many 3-pointers as 2-pointers, and more washes than 2-pointers... still shot over 'cap of course.

    What even is consistency?

Last week I was in love with the game because it seemed so easy. This week I am hating it because it seemed impossibly hard.

I didn't quite play as badly as my 27 points suggests, but my putting completely deserted me. Counting a couple of putts from just off the green, I think the putting total may have been 39, but I don't really want to count them back to know for sure.

Today was a public holiday for the show, and the club put on a comp, so I ventured out with Solarman & 2 other mates for a hit.

The round started innocuously enough, but as I progressed the putts kept dropping. I turned with 19pts after a birdie and 3 bogies. However, I kept a clean sheet on the back 9 with 1 more birdie on 14 and 8 pars for 21pts and a total of 40pts. That shot I just got back on the 7th... yeah, that'll be gone again.

Much of the same today. 32 points with 4 washes.

I eagled the 12th though, which is nice.

Today was the first round of the 36 hole 4BBB Stroke Championships. Tomson & I combined for 70/65. At the time of writing this, we were sitting 10th in nett and 2nd in gross.

I would have shot 75 on my own, with 3 birdies and a triple

Stableford comp with Olinda g c , 13/19 , a mixture of crap golf , poor putting and no luck with the odd good shot thrown in . Highlight being a 50 mtr Eagle pitch horseshoing around the hole , the tap in birdie was my only birdie . A very frustrating day .

First round at Kooindah today (although not technically a member yet). Course was covered in ice from a frost and was only 2 degrees when I teed off. Hit it horrible the first nine and was surprised I had 15 points. Second nine still hit it ordinary to start but then played the last 4 holes -1 to have 33 points.

2nd round today. We had 75/68, with a triple on an innocuous hole being the only blemish. Not sure of my individual score as I didn't play out 2 holes (1 x hazard, 1 x OOB). Would have shot even around the back 9 again.

Attempted to play a stableford comp at Beaconhills today , started in sunny but windy conditions pulled the pin after 13 holes in 100 klm/ hr gusty winds . Putting had become extremely difficult. My putting is fragile at the best of times , today I was tearing my hair out , four 3 putts , gusty winds had a bit to do with 3 of them .My last 4 or 5 games have been in windy conditions but today was the worst . It’s becoming very frustrating, I still managed two birdies, ( 3 rd one was blown backwards as It was about to drop in) and 20 points for the first nine pts went , 3,2,3,3,-,2,1,4,2 (20) then 1,1,2,- . The last wipe was a 3 putt from 4 foot downhill , 3 of us wiped the hole one of whom said he had had enough so we all bolted

Rubbish golf today for 28 points. My handicap was used up after 4 holes, and then mainly bogey golf just wasn't the right thing to do. i hit a couple of great shots that trickled through the back into impossible spots. Allegedly, the luck evens out, so maybe I'll get lucky with a few shots next time.

Individual Par this morning. It had been a pretty nondescript round, but back-to-back birdies on the last 2 holes got me back to -2. More importantly, they also won me the drinks (thanks Bushy!).
