It seems I have a wedding to attend Saturday. I shan’t be waking early enough to make this.
Apologies but I’m out

I am still a pencil for this. I have got past family commitments, but my left hip is giving me curry. When I walked off the course this afternoon, I would have said I am buckleys to play tomorrow, let alone on Sunday. But I am heat packing it tonight and it feels a bit better.

I’m really looking forward to it, if Jenni is playing.
Should I check if my clubs are still in the cupboard now or in the morning?

I made a tidy profit renting them out for the past decade.

What a little gem of a golf course! I really enjoyed the round. And it was lots of fun playing the back nine from different tees and seeing what we did or did not learn first time around! It is quite short, but you need to bring your A grade short game with you. And the greens were pristine.
Lunch at Brewery was pretty acceptable also. But there were crowds of people everywhere, so beware weekend traffic!
I will be looking for suggestions for the next explorer round towards the end of the month.
Aussie Golf Reviewer did a Tamborine series earlier in the year if you want to get a feel for this course;

I also enjoyed the course. While it was on a mountain, I didn't feel like it was an overly hilly course, where you were always going up and down, unlike somewhere like Nambour, or even Wolston Park.
I wonder if that was the normal direction of the wind, and the holes play like that on a regular basis. A 410m par 4 into the wind is tough going, but then the holes going the other way with the wind seemed very short.
The greens were very nice to putt on, and it was great to just trust the line that you had picked.
Well played by Dave. To be honest, I didn't really have a feel on how the others were playing relative to their handicaps. I guess when it isn't a comp game, you take less notice.
I think the scores were something like this.
1. Daves 37
2. AndyP 30
3. PeteyD 30
4. Henno ?
