    Default F1 2018

Great drive by Ricciardo go through more than half the race with mechanical issues, but Monaco is my least favourite race of the year. The Monaco circuit might be thrilling to drive, but what a shit and boring race with no overtaking!!!

Monaco has been like that for years. Mind you some of the other circuits are little better.

I know the track hasn't changed and it's always been my least favourite race. I have watched a lot of old footage including Senna's famous qualifying lap in 1988 and I'm more interested this year cos Ricciardo was dominating so I was more excited about the race than I have been in previous years.

From memory the Hungaroring and Jerez are terrible as well!!

As the only race of the year with Grid Girls, I'd say it the best circuit on the championship.

The tyre compounds this year are not right for good racing. Each race is better with 2 stops and a variety of strategies.I cant imagine Paul Ricard being any better. Lets hope.for a few wet races in a row.

    Agreed,

I would like to see mandated three stop races.

Takes the tires out of it and allows more strategy.

How about being able to choose tire supplier and compound instead of all using the same.

I would bet it's not commercially viable to put all the $ into all the research and development etc with no guarantee of supplying the whole grid. They've tried Michelen and Bridgestone at the same time (I think) and it didn't really work successfully for long if at all.

    Agreed,

    Control tyres are better.

But you need more stops to stop this making the tyre last rubbish.

Pretty sure Danny has a paid agreement with Ferrari that he want talk to anyone else until the end of July or August.

I wouldn't be staying at Red Bull if Vercrashin was getting paid around $3 million more at a base rate. Danny may make it up in bonuses, but he definitely is the superior driver overall.

Ricciardo’s options may be narrowing. Are Ferrari or Mercedes really likely to upset one of their alphas? Hamilton and Vettel both have history of not playing nice if the guy in the next garage is competitive. He could go to Maclaren if Alonso leaves and make some serious bank to run around at the back of the field. Or he could take a punt that Honda will sort it out eventually and stay and put up with the kid crashing into him.

    Big call whatever he does.

Vettel apparently wouldn’t mind having Danny with him.
Hamilton has blatantly come out and said no way.

As an equal or as a number 2 driver? He certainly didn’t appear to enjoy getting beaten by Danny in their time together at Red Bull. It’d be great to see though, Vettel with a teammate applying some heat and Danny in a competitive car.

Just finished watching the British GP. What a great race!

Talk about sour grapes from Hamilton and Wolf after the race. Hamilton with "interesting tactics" and Wolf with "is it intentional or incompetence" in reference to Kimi hitting Hamilton. Wow! Wouldn't expect anything less though from a group of people used to having it their own way for the last 4-5 years. Just having a sook. I expect it from. Hamilton, don't expect it from Wolf.

Times change. Bring on the rise of Ferrari and Red Bull again and hopefully Renault.

Renault no chance. The Red Bull cars were guys getting smashed down the straights, even with drs!!

Yeah but if Honda get their arse into gear for Red Bull next year, hopefully they will be even stronger than with the Renault.

I just want someone to keep shoving it up Mercedes' nose. Time they came down a couple of pegs.

I don't know. They have been back in F1 for a while now and I'm hoping they can make some progress this year into next. The Torro Rosso doesn't look as down on power as the McLaren was last year. Seems much better.

i am sure it is better than last year.. but it is still shit. i am hoping Danny heads to Ferrari or Merc. Kimi or Bottas need to go.
