    Default The "no takeaway" swing

I know that Nick Faldo used to do this as a drill but I don't know whether any pro would do this during tournament play.

I often struggle with too many swing thoughts at address and have trouble pulling the trigger with positive mindset. I think something like this would only help.

    Any thoughts?

Actually had my Pro do this with me as I was getting very rounded with my swing. He would stand behind me and catch the head of the club before I could continue.

Wasn't me getting injured. The Pro copped a few in the wrong spot though.

Jono, I've found there's things I can do in practice that I just can't do in comp play, ie pause at the top.

If you can take it from the range to the course, at the end of the day no one really cares what it looks like but you.

Like me though, in a month (or week) you'll probably be onto something else

The one handed no follow through is more my thing.

Might try this and combine them so my swing reflects my scores !

Yeah that's it. If it works, I don't really care if it looks a bit unconventional but if not, you just look like an idiot, ey? 😁. I like this step through drill too. Feels a bit more athletic than starting from a static address position. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=-YsRBwFJ1dU. I've tried waggling, forward press etc but they don't feel quite right for me.

    Default The "no takeaway" swing

One of the lpga girls used it whilst playing on tour for a season or two, might have been Paula C.
