I was looking at courses played, and I thought about the courses that I had played within Australia in each direction, that is most Northern, Eastern, Western, and Southern courses played.
The courses in the main states and territories that are the most in each direction are:
N: Gove Country Golf Course (NT)
E: Byron Bay Golf Course (NSW)
W: Boolbardie Country Course (WA)
S: Dover Golf Course (TAS)
S (mainland): Apollo Bay Golf Course (VIC)
C (centre): Alice Springs Golf Course (NT)
Bonus points if you've played any of the Australian territory island courses:
N: Christmas Island Golf Course
E: Norfolk Island Golf Club. Lord Howe Island Golf Club.
W: Cocos Islands Golf Club (over an international runway)
My source, which also shows latitude and longitude when you click on them: Inside Golf - Australian Golf Courses - 2023 - Google Maps
Here's mine:
N: Darwin (NT) - 3rd most northern. Capricornia in Qld is barely north of it.
E: Ballina (NSW)
W: Links Kennedy Bay (WA)
S: Barnbougle Dunes (TAS) - only course played in Tassie.
S (mainland): The National (VIC)
C: RAAF Tindal (NT) - no longer exists. Katherine - exists.
Anyway, have a look and post yours or don't.
