Just a casual round with randoms yesterday but broke several personal best records (my G.A. handicap is 9.. Shot 2 over par for the 18, was 4 under for the back nine (2 birdies, and an eagle), no bogeys for the back nine. Back nine was one of those magical days in golf where you just strike the ball flush, you get full nice yardages, you get every lucky break, and you drain and read every putt right. Front nine had two double bogeys including one which I accidentally took the wrong club, so I could have shot even for the round or better.

First round of golf in 9 months and the break has done me good - I actually enjoyed myself instead of beating myself up about my mistakes.

It was par and I ended up +2 (0/+2). Isn’t golf great?

    Pennant today vs Craigieburn away
Lost 2d but played good golf.Hit a couple of drives that got a very kind forward bounce and gave me opportunities to reach a couple of the par 5's.Had a bit of trouble on the greens.I over read a couple of putts which cost me,and my missed greens always seemed to be to the wrong side(poor course management). All in all enjoyed the course for its length of the back markers.
    Craigieburn won 5-3

Took the opportunity to play 9 holes after an earlymark on a perfect Autumn arvo. Took my persimmon McGregors and irons out for a spin, and the Acushnet Bullseye for some flat stick practise.

Off the whites, went bPbPPKaKaaPPb for 38 off the stick.

The woods are difficult to hit well and consistantly, but the irons, despite being an inch shorter than normal are amazing.

Seriously considering using the 5 iron up in a comp. The 3 and 4 are tough to hit...

Shitehouse scoring game today.....hit a 79. But struck it well from driver to green. Greens were cored and sands yesterday so putting was pretty ordinary.

32pts in the ANZAC Day comp today. 2 wipes effectively did the damage.
