Playing my first game of pennant tomorrow.What should I expect?

Good luck joe play well . You should expect to win . Assume your opponent is going to escape from every tight situation and sink every putt he attempts, so when he does it isn’t a shock/ disappointment. All you have to watch is some of the rules in matchplay have different penalties and you can lose a hole , don’t play out of order is probably the main one . Occasionally you will run into someone who thinks the family sheep station is on the line , but mostly it’s a good day out

Just focus on ur game and have fun, u will be fine.

this always gets me when your team is playing for 1 pennant flag that some call it pennants


i would understand if a team is playing for more then one pennant flag

Why dont we ever call the afl grand final - afl grand finals as the teams are only playing for 1 cup/flag.

Joe relax have fun and play sensibly if your player puts one in the trees then all you need to do is put one down the fairway with your favourite iron or wood

What course did you play ? How did the team go ? Not such a bad debut joe , could have been worse . Did you go out in the no 1 spot ?

LH course combo.I wasn't playing very good to be 3 up,but then played some aweful golf at the turn.My golf over the past 6 weeks has been pretty poor,even though I have been making scores.

Isn't it "Pennants" because there are multiple pennants though. Multiple divisions and what not? Sure, your team is only playing for the 1 flag but the overall event/tournament would be the plural - Pennants as there is more than 1 on offer.

if ya want to call it pennants or pennant no skin of my nose really

i just find it rather funny 1 can say they are playing pennants for there club it just seems to me they them selves are playing more then one pennant game

i do get it that there is multiple divisions in pennant, and pennants is the plural to that , but why would you use a plural for your own individual match or team

"I am playing pennants for Team A on sunday" , i read that as they are playing 1 match in that pennant team so to me why wouldnt you say "I am playing pennant for Team A" , as you are playing 1 match.

why use the plural

"all the Pennants in todays matches all went down to the wire" that to me tells me there was more then 1 match played and there could have been multiple divisions

In honesty there is no right or wrong and its just how each individual says it... it just gets to me thats all

if anyone wants to use a plural go for it if someone wants to use singlar format go for it

I think we are all big enough to understand what a person is saying when they are playing pennant
