should have just taken Sunday and Monday public holiday off..... played 23 and 27 points on both day.
Hitting some good shots, but just seem to unable to do good follow up shots....mostly the scoring irons and short games are a little iffy...

    Oh well.... next weekend then

1st prelim warm up round @ Growling Frog.

Ended up with 83 off the stick. Birdied the 3rd (shortish par 5) and had a couple of somewhat outrageous scrambling moments.

Fairly decent track, I thought. Greens were very good and rolled nicely, bunkers OK...felt like a bit of Camden Lakeside and Lynwood rolled into one, with just a hint of Twin Creeks. I liked the final 3 hole run.

Flinders/Dunes was a test that I quite simply failed. No longer in any sort of form to be called a fav.

Flinders was very good, Dunes was spectacular. My golf wasn't. Probably the result of trying to squeeze 36 holes in after midday.

33pts at National Old today. 14 on the front with 2 wipes, then 19 on the back with 3 1pters. Could have been anything if I had better than 39 putts.

Note to self: try using the practice green pre-round after flying in from QLD next time.

25 points around the Old with possibly the most over-the-top green complexes I’ve ever seen. Lots of good shots but I need to start aiming down the middle.

The greens were very slippery on Saturday, even the locals were struggling.

I am blaming the ball , used a super soft instead of my usual ball , kept knocking it way past the hole , went back to the old ball after 3 rd 3 putt on 13 and then putted much better

I had a good day today in quite a strong breeze. 38 points, with missed 5 footers at the last two holes. My best round since last August.

It also means I won't have to visit the Anchor thread shortly.

One of my playing partners, a guy I hadn't met before, had a brand new alleged Scotty putter, purchased for $110. He accepted it was probably fake, but he kept telling us how great it looked and felt. But he had at least 40 putts with it. So I didn't make an offer for it.

Had a bad stretch where I averaged a point a hole for a while today.

Played a Par event today.Probably too much after the uncivil war yesterday and travelling.Anyway couldn't get into the groove,I was affected by the heat, fitness and maybe slightly de hydrated.Stumbled around the course and ended square.I don't really like Par as an event, nint considering how I felt,I am actually pretty happy with the result.A chip in on a par 3 to halve and a birdie on the 17th helped

You aren’t alone in not liking par , most 20+ cappers don’t like it cause they lose their 4 for 4 ‘s . Personally I don’t mind it .
