Explorer Challenge Rd1 - Boonah GC, Sunday April 15, 8:30a, $20pp
For a fair while, I've been toying with the idea of having a regular event where we have a hit of golf at courses that aren't usually visited. There are plenty of courses in the Greater Brisbane area that I have never played, and wouldn't mind checking them out, good or bad.
My idea for the event is the following:
1. Hold event tri-annually (once every four months)
2. Each event is organised by the previous winner
3. The venue is decided by poll (two or more options)
I don't think the courses should be too far away, but I guess if they were, they wouldn't get voted for.
I'll start with a few options, with the round to be played on April 14 or 15, depending on course availability.
The options are Boonah, Sandy Gallop, or Rosewood, none of which I've played. I would have put Helensvale as an option, but that can't happen anymore.
Indicate your interest below too.

Like the idea, can't play 14/15 as at work, interested in the follow ups though.

I created a poll via a desktop browser when creating a thread, but Tapatalk doesn't show it. I'd say most people visit the forum via mobile devices now.
I'll just tally it up at the end. Boonah has jumped out of the blocks though.

This forum has taught me recently that there are a lot of people that prefer comp to playing with mates, or in this case internet acquaintances.

It looks like there is a general consensus on Boonah for Sunday the 15th. I'll give the club a call.

Social Sunday. ISG is listing rounds at $28 for walking, $48 for cart, but looks to be painful to book for successive groups around 8-9am. I'll call the club tomorrow for two groups.

Pffft, who needs milkshakes when there is locally brewed beer 11 minutes down the road?

It's Boonah people. Drive to the golf club, play golf, try not to get kidnapped and married off to a horse, leave
