Default 20/4 Leon Treadwell Memorial Golf Day - City Golf Club Toowoomba

So who's up for this this year? I'll email the organisers and see if they've got entry forms yet? Sometimes they are a bit limited in buggies so the earlier you nominate the more likely you can get one. Barely hit a ball since this last year, so if you get stuck with me maybe think of yourselves as a group of 3 with the handicap of a 4!Two teams entered thus far. We'll sort them out on the day. More teams still available. 4 buggies reserved for us, the rest will have to walk.

I'm in the same boat Shazz. Was thinking at least one cart going in each group could be an advantage when it comes to collecting errant shots.

Heads up for those traveling from Brissy. There are lots of road works happening so give yourself some extra time.

Roadworks at lowood/laidley intersection and resurfacing of the bitumen on the Gatton bypass.

Shaz is correct. Probably would be quicker going through Gatton and Grantham rather than the highway.

Sorry guys, but I can't make this now. I am struggling with the flu and I am also having big issues with my teeth.
I am booked in for two root canals on Friday (only time I can get in to my dentist) really not looking forward to that one bit
AP, I have made a donation to Leon's day. I will catch up with you guys sometime soon for a hit.

So you were actually in pencil then? It's a shame that we won't be catching up.

Bugger. At least we still need the 3 groups. Slower day, more time to chat.

    3 groups of 3. That's a pity.

I pity the poor fools who get paired with me! Haven't hit a ball since I think last year's Leon day, and since then arthritis has hit my hands, worst in the little finger of my right hand. Just grabbed hold of a club, ouch. It'll be a loose grip tomorrow, so beware the flying club!

You don't need to play much to play well. I had the lowest gross score at Boonah.

Yeah, but you're a natural compared to me. Not that I'm worried, I think most that have played with me over the last umpteen years have learnt I enjoy a laugh.
Hit some birdie basis in the back yard. Couldn't even try to grip the club with my normal pressure, but if I hope it completely loose it wasn't too bad.

My good round also means that my expectations have been raised and I'll now play like a chump.
