It was OK I guess, but completely lacking substance and really only good for a laugh. Like a vegetarian lasagne. I just told a mate that I'd love to play a touch version of it, but I wouldn't pay money to watch it.

Mind you, I still feel the same way about 20-20 cricket even though that seems to be well and truly accepted as a thing now.

I thought the best thing was the constant battle BT and JB were having to go through to avoid putting shit on the game and try to come up with something positive.

Larry - it was basically AFL9s but 7 a side, with tackling and contact.

    And 9s is great fun.

9s has a smaller lighter ball, so you can't get from one end to the other in two kicks.

Only if you kick like a girl... A 9s ball well struck goes 50 comfortably. I got pinged for it about 4 times this season coming out from the backline and hitting forward third. Vic Champs has needed a footy...

Midnight kick to kick, we could really get hurt. I've got the sherrin lying around somewhere.

I'm not going up the same end as SundayHack though, he would break me in half.

Umps had it in for us. The premiership drought continues. AFLX is stupid.

    Two questions..

Who was the dummy who put the new guernseys in with the white shorts?

What have they got in their pockets?

Sadly, the talking point wasn't the impressive Carlton players, but their appalling shorts.

Charlie Curnow looks more than handy, and Cripps is a beast. Still don't see the Blues anywhere near the 8, but this looks an improved side.

How can you say that when Carlton did not get pinged once for doing the exact same thing around the mark as Richmond.
5 x 50m penalties for 4 goals, but I suppose the umps had to even it up somehow.
Can't have a blowout in the first game of the season!
