A bit of a deja vu round (again) for me today. The same stuff as my last few rounds, for a similar score of 33 points.

I'm hitting lots of good shots, but a few bad ones, and my recovery game from the bad spots just isn't working. The putter isn't working either.

No games at all next week. It is a waste of time and money for me to play in the black marker next Wednesday and the Friday comp has been bumped by a charity day. In theory, this should mean plenty of practice time that will translate into a good score next time. In theory.

No ,bought it off eBay , it was fitted with a stiff shaft and came with a spare regular flex shaft , took it out in a Tuesday comp struggled with control, but could tell it had a nice sweet spot , had Chappy put the regular flex in it with and a new jumbo grip , took it out last Tuesday and cranked out some pb drives on a few holes and again on Thursday I hit it even better . Fittings and driving ranges are overrated.

First game in 12 months (no socials games, range sessions etc) and had 34 points which was amazing considering I had 3 wipes. Biggest issue is chipping/pitching which is what led to 2 of the 3 wipes but my putting was amazing and definitely what got me the points as I drained some absolute bombs. 2 birds as well so all in all it was a great welcome back to the game.

Thanks benno - been a long time between drinks but it felt great being back out there today. Plenty of good shots to make me come back as well.

Attempted to. Flared it well left. Flopped to 3 feet for the gimmie.

Putting is a bitch on a simulator. Had so many putts from within 3 metres and missed em all.

Tried a Volvik 3 piece ball, played the first 11, was 6 over cap but felt like I was playing better than I was scoring. Decided to swapback to my normal NXT S, and had 2 birdies and 17 points for the last 7.

Ended up with an NTP on 17, at 133cm, missing 500ish by 34cm. Doh.
