Had a practice round today... it's one of those days when everything is aligned and I can do everything right... Played 39 strokes for 9 holes.....

I'll bet I forget everything when I play this weekend 😑

I haven't been on the course for a few weeks so it was nice to get out there. It was also nice to hit lots of good shots and hardly any bad ones.

The score wasn't nice though. A head-scratching and almost sand wedge throwing 31 points was the result of a good long game but a poor short game. Four times I hit good shots that trickled through the back, and each time I failed to get up and down. Another bunker disaster has me at the point of despair from the sand.

Oh well. I'd like to say that there is always next week, but I might be on jury duty, so there may not be a game next week either.

    8/18 for 26 points. Didn't hit a fairway until 11. Happy days.

Silver lining, my handicap has gone out by 1.5 in the last two rounds, the Vic Champs tractor is up and chugging!

Saturday had a horid round... played with the Z355 loft for more draw bias ended up being a bad mistake... was going everywhere... would have been a worst day if my putting was not as good as it was... sinking 5-10 feet putts with ease... by the time I got to hole 13, I pretty much gave up and just hit and walk. bloody hot day too; A pint of Cold Stella mid strength was a good way to wash away the 31 points game.

Sunday was much better, set the Z355 back to normal, and I was having the same slight fade which was much easier to control. The tourstage was lovely to hit... but I seem to be getting myself in trouble if I didnt pace myself, have a practice swing, and be careful with my alignment... blew 3 holes, 2 birdies, a few lip putts... ended the day with a 34... 2 pints of Stella left me feeling pretty good that I spend the rest of the day detailing my car

Stableford today , 20/13 , one birdie , missed a number of short putts a couple were for birdie. Took the m2 out for its second round ,Chappy had put a reg flex shaft and a new grip on it . Hit it pretty well , reached the 14 th (par 5 ) with drive and 3 iron ( 3 putt par) haven’t reach it before, hit a couple of others that were pb’s for that hole ( a couple were into cross winds )am fairly impressed as I was hitting the R15 well .

Carried an oversized tool for most of the day @ woodlands 58822005-809B-4D8A-B9D9-132B0DDE96C7.jpguntil it was pointed out that he was playing crap golf, the tool followed this up with a 4pointer. Not the W but enough to make the final with 45pts.
